Enjoy.

Let me know what you think on how it fits the track!

Just added in some layering that I think should've always been there. I think it helps bring the song together as a whole. Makes it fuller and more complete.

Something like this for the chords down for the outro (the actual outro): https://clyp.it/xtyg55ue

I think it's somewhat recognizable if you know the song. Which is good. You want a remix to be recognizable but unique and you did that. If you'd ever want to work together on something I'm an enormous fan of Anjuna myself. Jason Ross and Ilan Bluestone are legends.

I'm not sure if the part at around the ~0:48 mark is a stylistic choice for it to sound kind of minimal, but maybe add something like sub bass there to add some style & interest to it. This track could really benefit from more layers in general. The composition is really solid though!

Stylistic choice yes. Good to know about layering and such. Suggestions with that? I have a sub bass in there once the acid bass comes in all the way until the end. Maybe it's just not loud enough!

How's the master so far as well? I tried to get it decently clear.

Thank you for the feedback!

Awesome, the part after the drop section needs a bit of a change to it (the part before the outro) just sounds to repetitive. I'd suggest 2 downward chord changes. Also the sidechain is just too much on the lead synth.

Besides that it has great composition and melodies! Great stuff. If you're thinking anjuna you definitely are headed the right direction. I'm insanely jealous of those pads and white noises. I'm just awful at making both. :P

Mixing/Mastering / Re: Layering a snare over a kick. Mix help
« on: February 28, 2016, 02:54:14 am »
Real quick tip with fabfilter's eq.

You can do a left and right eq. So I'd reccomend eq'ing the top and bottom parts of your snare to the right side (or whatever side you high hats aren't going to. Don't overdo it tho as you want your snare to still sound like it's coming from the center. Just a little touch and you'll hear it fall into place! EXTREMELY helpful btw. Also works if you have a synth that sounds bad if you cut the top half, but it rides over your high hats. Just eq both of them to opposite sides and bam, they both come through crystal clear.

Just added in what I've always wished was there in the song. Still keeping the ambient beauty in it as well. I just think what I added in completes the song to a whole.

Enjoy :)

If you don't mind me asking what did you use for that supersaw for the song in your signature? Also what vst/samples did you use for the strings? I for the love of God can't find anything for strings and it'd be HUGELY appreciated!

Sub of the kick is a little too loud for the song. Just needs general touch ups on the master as a whole.

Composition is nice, but after the drop its a little to repetitive. I suggest adding in either a chord change, melody change above the chords you have, and/or that sound that comes in at the end of the 1st 4 bars on the drop and repeats on every go around. That sound is great and would be FANTASTIC as a running lead after the 1st 4 bars of the drop! Or towards the end of the drop altogether.

It's good, but a little too cookie cuttery. Needs something that makes it unique yaknow? I like the sounds and such, they sound great! What he said above about adding a layer onto the pluck is a great idea.

But the master on this one needs lots of work. I really suggest you put in a bunch of time and learn to master. It'll help you A TON in the long run and I know for a fact that you will enjoy your own tracks more when they're well mastered. :)

It's private. If it's private you can't just post the link. You gotta hit share underneath the track and post that link.

I'll give you some real genuine and good feedback.

Great composition. It definitely does stick in your head (idk what that other guy is talking about.)

I'm assuming based on this that you haven't had much experience mastering. You DEFINITELY need to do some hard work and learn how to master well. It's so crucial. I can help you along if you want just message me and I'll help you with what I can. Song is catchy, positive, with a little bit of funk in it. I like it.

Mastering is a huge thing to learn right off the bat. I can't stress enough how important learning to master is!

Sounds design is good as well. (Idk if you did it yourself or presets, but the sounds all fit eachother so well done on that.)

Sorry that guy above me was such a downer. Let me know if you want/need help with anything! I'm willing to do what I can.

WIPs / Re: Progressive House Track - Looking For Feedback

Definitely is more progressive trance and it sounds great! Since its a baseline I wont judge the master as I'm assuming you know it needs an overhaul. Progression is nice. Synths are solid. Chording is great as well. Like it so far! Keep going. I love progressive house/trance especially when it's done uniquely and well, and so far you have a great start!

It sounds like a bunch of presets stringed together. Needs a touch of uniqueness to it, you know what I mean?
