You need to share the private link, so we can listen to it. ;)

Heyo,

Sub bass is fine. Kick is too weak and not punchy enough, Snare too. Try to sidechain more if you like them tho. Yes, you definitely need more sidechain on basically everything. Also to make the second drop more intersting, try changing the midi or chop more those basses. ;)

Although, good track. :D

Sound Design / Re: What's your opinion on Presets ?
« on: January 08, 2016, 03:38:26 pm »
try looking for tuts on youtube. SeamlessR has like hundreds usefull bass tutorial, some synth tuts and more. He's the best way to start. Although if you type "How to [Sounds]" You'll find a lot of results for what you want. Most of those people give the preset.

Starting with preset made by others are fine as long as you try to understand them and recreate them later. Then when you have the basics, then try making some on your own.  Save the one you make and threw the one you've found on the web.

Sometimes, having slight change on a preset can be a way to sounds unique.

try to make your sounds, sounding good at a lower volume and never reach the 0 dB. so that way, you'll worry less about it while mixing.

Try to learn about rythm. Beatbox everything you want then try to remake it with shitty drums.

Once you've a beat you like, then look for the sample you want and replace the shitty one.

I made an amazing 808 patch in Harmor but if you're an FL studio user, then 3 oscx is the way to go.

Set up a basic Sine wave. and then play with the enveloppe.

Samples/Plugins/Software/Gear / Re: What is your DAW template?

I have nothing to start. I use FL and open it, with the basic template, remove everything and then try to make music.

Heyo Viticz :D

I like the intro atmosphere and how you bring the progression. It sounds amazing. Kick is a bit weak in the highlight. Snare is fine.

Although, I don't really thing like it's pop rock. It's progressive/uplifting for sure but I see pop rock more with actual guitars or something sounding like it. (Like this)

It's good. I like it ;)

Keep it up !

WIPs / Re: Vocalist & Feedback Needed [Future Bass/Heaven Trap]
« on: January 08, 2016, 03:15:52 pm »
Heyao,

I like the drums. They heavy and wet enough. a bit powerfull compared to the rest but it's cool. You could use a bigger, if you have one, sub. I like what you did with the detune thing in the break. The pluck sounds lovely.

The drop could use some more power. (Sub bass should be enough, to fix that) More Supersaws could also work.

The second break could use a little variation, more than being the same as the first one. Vocals after the build are a bit too dry. Put some reverb on it ;)

Anyway this is good. :D

The best way to do it, is to make people earn point given by the man who posted the WIP.

Everytime you see a good comment, helpfull one, you give a like. So that way, others earns points that will allow them to post. And they will after posting, loose a amount of point. (Like 5 to 10) and They'll need to earn it back. It's working on a french producer forum so far and the only thing is, that it needs to be moderated like crazy. The others hard thing is, what's a good, helpfull, usefull comment ?

R&A Graveyard / Re: A collaboration section would be sweet
« on: January 08, 2016, 03:01:51 pm »
For the time being, we're letting people connect on other parts of the forum and gain some mutual respect, and then if people want to collab they can always DM each other. We're just afraid of a section like this becoming too impractical, cus collabing is a very private thing between two or more producers who've already spent time getting familiar with eachother's methods and ideas.
yeah, I was thinking that too. better not have another section spammed.
