Not sure how to explain emotional, but I'll try. It's like when a melody isn't sad, but it still draws some sort of emotion that isn't light and happy (this is really hard to explain sorry). It's not quite sad, but not even close to happy. Kind of dark. You know what, here's a song:I think I get the general idea? sort of? but there has to be a better word for that than "emotional". "What kind of emotion you aiming for?" "Oh, you know, emotional."
It's not quite sad, but close. I'm really struggling with this. Hopefully I helped a bit.
I love foley-ageI know an ambient producer that makes "drums" from the sound of stepping on fallen leaves.
There totally are! Jake, Kill The Noise, is like that too, that's why we're friends. But the thing that separates him from me is he really wants the world to hear, and the world fucking should hear cus he's got a lot to say.
I've never used it. Care to tell us why you think it's better than the others?Well, it's free, it has a ton of options for synthesis, and it has a solid preset library. But the GUI is sprawling and poorly organized, all the envelopes are ADSR-only, the additive synthesis is limited to the oscillators (in other words, it's not even close to being as versatile as Harmor), and the latest beta is from 2010.
I really wouldn't use stuff like this. All these so called guides are harsh oversimplifications and guidelines that are never really true in most cases. Its best to use your ears and determine what works best through practice and trial and error.
