I´d just ask NRK how they have placed mics when they have been filming there.  Most sound guys are really friendly and happy to share.

Samples/Plugins/Software/Gear / Soundcloud subscription
« on: May 22, 2016, 07:34:56 am »
So I cancelled my SC pro subscription by accident.  I used to pay 9€ a month, but now I am being offered the pro for 7$(6.3€) a month..  With SC´s non-existing customer service and this put together, I am not going to spend more of my money there.  Artists are all over Twitter daily about how their songs are removed without notice, and I feel that the site is currently losing out.  What do you guys think?

I wish I had taken the opportunities I was offered when I was younger.  Turned down some offers that would have meant a world of difference today.  Never turn down a chance to learn!

I love a lot of what Mat does.  This album really does not come together as a whole to me, but the tracks are good on their own.  In total it lacks some album feeling, but it has good content.

The difference between gain and volume,

One controls the input, the other controls the output.

It's a weird way of understanding signal strength and balancing those two perspectives.

It's like saying "i want this to be louder" then turn up the volume or "the signal isn't strong enough" turn up the gain.

After literally 10 years of playing music live, live sound, and production my friend told me the difference between the two when we were setting up before a gig.

There's so much analogue in this digital world and a lot of it gets looked over.

Mind.Blown.

I never thought about it like that....

Fair enough. My dad got by without mixing in key for 25 years. I don't think the crowd cares about keys, bpms, or effects. If it sounds good it sounds good.  ;D

Are you sure that your dad didn´t mix in key?  Because it is not like the concept is new, it´s just that most old school djs never knew if the did that or not.  If he has good ears, then he probably did.

Just the composing part? On average, it ranges between 1 minute to 20 minutes.
Ah, now you´re just provoking here.  Wish I had that gift.

So what happened with this?  Did OP deliver to any of the nominees?
