you can always install a demo FL studio and try out the piano roll and see if you like it or not
i was on logic when i first began and then i switched to ableton and since then I'm in love with ableton lol

the first is the main bass playing that typical anjuna bass that repeats itself, its off one note i think
the 2nd one is that poppy sound, that fills the empty space that the first main bass had
thats what i think..
i've seen this a lot in the big room stuff
there is a lot of layering and sidechaining

lol ableton live is the best for making mixes
armin van buuren does everything on ableton live with ASOT
just play with the EQ for the transitions and use the time warping
recordbox is for gathering tracks and organising your sets
