Mainly trance, but look at house/electro even some deep house too for inspiration lol

167
depends on your inspiration i think

you must learn synthesis, so for starters pick 1 synth you like and try and learn it

theres wavetable, vs analogue, FM, etc

ADSR has good videos imo

im a big fan of massive

check out ADSR dude

So I used to love Massive and FM8 but to be honest, I have really been geeking out to Spire and Serum lately.

The spire has so many great characteristics of my Virus but in soft synth form. I love the grundgy bass sounds I can make with it. And Serum is so rich and smooth! I don't think I could make another track without using at least one of those two synths right now.

ahh sounds good..massive is still my favourite and i love it too

Spire I'm still learning, but I've seen that it takes a lot of CPU, it slows down the computer so much

Yes...a click sound at every 2nd or sometimes 4th kick

you should use Xfer LFO for sidechaining, it was created by steve duda

to get rid of the clicking, just move the smooth button to about 20-30

i think you can copy and paste,

its okay but it has to be kept interesting,

so it means your drops and breakdown have to be pretty good lol

try the vandalism packs man for starters

i'm pretty okay with massive, but serum scares the hell out of me. how tough is it to get into?

massive and serum are both wavetable so it shouldnt be hard to learn serum

also i read serum is a modern day massive, just with better display and GUI

176
massive is my favourite

but been trying to learn spire atm.. lol

177
you should take from other people and be inspired but you have to innovate

your sound has to be different from the pack

you need to stand out from the others

easier said than done lol

178
hmm.. probably sound design and creating melodies

thats what makes the track

those guys are extremely experienced, they've been in the business for decades and were nominated for a grammy recently i think

its serious sound design with tonnes of layering

its definitely saw waves and covered in all frequencies, side chained
