Sound Design / Re: Vocal pitching in logic?

Have you already tried AUPitch? It's built in to apple computers but isn't a stock logic plugin. Not sure how well it performs with formant material on things like vocals, but I prefer it over the others that come with Logic.

I've tried it, and personally I don't think it sounds very good.

For the most part this is finished, needs some polishing and rearranging. I am currently looking for a vocalist, if anyone has any interest or knows anyone willing to collaborate.

Also, is the piano solo at the end very realistic?

Be honest, I would appreciate constructive criticism.

I can't find a decent audio pitching VST that doesn't cost a ton of money. All the built in units in Logic are horrible. Any suggestions?

not bad, although it could use more sub. mix sounds very low, kick isn't really standing out and snare seems to be very wide. to improve on your next song, add some sub, high cut around 120-130khz. another important thing is making sure everything in the mix has its own place so it can stand out. that involves kicks, snares, leads, etc. make sure you low cut leads, chords, and the bass so that the sub and kick have its own room in the low end part of the mix. then boost the highs if necessary. i like the track and how it starts off, and feel like the lead and the overall chord progression is nice & i feel like you can improve heavily if you continue to make music. good luck

Great advice, I really appreciate it.

Here is a remix of Sokko & Lyons and Focus Fire - Dreamcatcher Feat. Dan Henig.
Hope you enjoy. I'm really proud of the chords and melody. Don't hesitate to be honest.

Thanks! ;D

Drop was fantastic, but the vocals felt labored. If that's you singing, I would try doing a more speak less breathy take and layer it quietly over top to make it more understandable. Still, good job :)

Thanks for the tips! That isn't me singing, the vocals are from Mako - Smoke Filled Room.

This is the most helpful video i've ever seen on serum. I recommend watching the entire thing.

So far it's pretty good. I would suggest adding some chord layers to the break, to add so depth to the song as a whole, and rely a little less on the stems. In the drops, I would add some sort of arp or background noise to fill in the gaps between the bass sounds.

Other than that, just add some sub bass. great potential so far!
