Inspiration/Creativity/Motivation / Re: How to progress?

Thanks for the response man,

I appreciate your compliments and I guess I should just keep at it. I think as both a drummer and a pianist I'm probably a little more on the theory side of things than being technically skilled with the program, so as a result of that the mixing won't really be as great. I suppose that all comes with experience. Maybe if I get enough experience my brothers friend can help me out with a repost ;)

Hey guys,

I've been making music for about 10 months or so, but I hit a sort of brick wall at like 45 followers..
My songs all tend to get a similar amount of plays (between 100 and 400) and never really go beyond there.

My brother makes music and so does his best friend (they convinced me to start too), we're a very musical family (even my parents are in a band :P)
so I often ask his friends for tips on breaking the ice with regards to that stuff (you may recognize ORACLES and his other friend Attom), but they just said try to promote your tracks and stuff, cause they thought my music was already cool. So I said okay then I tried that. I didn't get very far. I'm here now. What advice do you guys have?...

PS: as a side note, you can listen to my music and if you think it's crap and that's the reason I hit the wall I did then PLEASE tell me my music is bad, otherwise I'm just gonna sit here scratching my head over something that's obvious from a distance that no one was up front enough to tell me. If it's bad I need to know XD

Okay :D, thanks for the insight. I was thinking of maybe adding vocals, and I definitely need better drum samples. I suppose mixing comes with experience so I'll just keep at it.

Made a new track the other day and I'd love some feedback,

I played a couple solos over it, the melody is mainly piano with a drum and bass. Written in major so slightly more happy sounding.
Enjoy and please let me know what you think (be as harsh as you like).

Sup man, congrats on the track
Not really my genre to be giving criticism on but here it is anyway..
So first off, I just wanted mention, you have you song structure in AAB and I just wanted to recommend ABA' (A' being a varied version of your first theme) otherwise it can make the first theme start to feel a little repeatative.
Other than that it's pretty cool! There was a little section at around 0:50 which at first didn't really flow with the song, but nothing big.

Keep it up :)

Hey man, first off nice track!

Criticisms would be to maybe change up your chords over the course of the song, and maybe change your distorted bassline to something a little more clean to fit the genre better. Also you have a section at around 0:36ish where you have to synths acting as leads and it sounds a bit like they're competing (comes up again a bit later too)..

Otherwise i enjoyed it quite a lot :)

Keep it up man

Pretty cool man ;)

Only criticism I have is I felt like your first lead keeps playing for a bit too long, but otherwise it's great :) (Y)

Sup man, just wanted to say I really enjoyed your track.
The echoey feel + your chords sort of resemble epic music and I think that's pretty cool in electronic stuff.
Tips would be to maybe change up your chords every now and then, and maybe even modulate, otherwise I thought it was very nice :D good job
Also you posted it under the genre Dance, which I think might need reciting.
