Wow. This is really good. What's the sound you use around 0:50 seconds? super dope.

Serum bass I made from a preset!  Modulated over 16th notes ofc.
Thanks!

Pretty nice start.
First things first, the waveform shows how compressed it overall is, the drop appears quieter than the intro.  I would say take it easy on the compression for the master and what not, next the lead in the intro is very loud, I would bring it in with a filter, like a lowpass automated over a long time and bring in a nice buildup for the drop.

Nice one man!
To return favor would gladly give some feedback!
I find overall the mix is pretty nice, the kick in the first drop is fairly covered up and that's not usually what I would notice in electro.  HOWEVER in the second drop it really comes out with that sub (enjoying this trap twist!).  So I can understand it as a stylistic choice.  Overall I think the lead (mostly first drop) could almost come down a tad, at least towards the low/mid end.
Great work man.

loved it from start to finish! how did you create the arp pluck? what vst is it from? cheers!

I used Harmor.  It's a short square wave with a slight saw on osc 2, short decay and dropping the pluck function near zero.  Thanks a ton man!

Holy cow man I see so much potential in this track. Everything musically about this track is very very sound. Chords are wonderful and great to listen to. Your arrangement is great as well
Your mixing however i feel could use some work. Get that kick pumping mono in the center of the mix, as well as your sub. Get those intro plucks cleaned out a tad too.
If you spend some time in ozone or maximus mastering this thing again you could have a really fantastic track here dude.

Thanks man!
I deffo agree the mix isnt great.  The sub is totally mono, the kick is almost totally mono but maybe something got messed up... and yea they feel dirty to me as well!  Thank you lots!

Lemme know what you think.  I finished this a while back and couldn't find the FLP but it doesn't sound like the worst thing I've made so I uploaded it!

Really really great.

Only thing I'll say is some of the percussion sounds way too static. Like the sound quality doesn't even change slightly. Like the high woodblock sound at 1:08. It is a little bit distracting in what is otherwise a great song. Maybe some volume automation? or mess with the waveform slightly - drag some grains around

!!! THIS is the one thing I noticed about a day after I posted it.  I got over it but it bothered me for some time.  Thanks mate!

Nice song.  Enjoyed the chill intro and the change in pace at the first drop.  Really cool sounds throughout.

I noticed an issue similar to another post I just commented on, I'll just copy paste it here: I feel your Sub "808 trap" bass can be beefed up.  It seems quiet in relation to the rest of the track and it doesn't have that signature trap "impact".  Also, I noticed your Kick tick that you layered above it is quite thin and doesn't offer much punch.  Here's a random trap song I found that has what I'm talking about: https://soundcloud.com/partythieves/party-thieves-lazy-boyz-rise

Also, I feel like your percussive work in the intro could use a bit more variation.  Everything seems centered and a bit lifeless; try panning to add some movement and interest on your cymbals.  Also, the snare/cymbals could use a bit of an EQ cut in the mid range--I feel in certain areas it is competing too much with your plucks in the background.  You don't have to cut a whole lot, a short narrow cut in the appropriate range (I want to say from around 200-800hz) can give more space between the elements.

Speaking of your percussion, it seems a bit oversaturated and harsh.  Your percussion definitely stands out in the mix--albeit a bit too much and it takes a lot of the attention away from your other sounds (plucks/vocals).

Great work.  Looking forward to hearing more.

Lots of great stuff here, thanks man! Big fan of your tunes.

I agree with all and I will be trying all of it out.  one of my kicks is actually just a kick sample with a crispy tick so maybe I will try to separate it out more with EQ and mix.

Very much appreciated sir!

WIPs / Re: Ready Set GO! (WIP) | Looking for feedback
« on: January 14, 2016, 03:59:53 am »
I would recommend adding more build up, dynamic, and rhythmic movement to keep the tune moving.
Try more filters crescendos or just crescendos for nearing the break and drop.  Also the READY SET GO part seems to drag out quite long which might just be a simple stylistic choice which is fine but I would personally either shorten it or add some more elements that keep it moving.  There also isnt a whole lot of frequency variation on what is playing for the majority of the track and it feels fairly empty.  The mix isnt bad but agree with what was said about deciding on a style to make it electrifying or ambient.

Keep it up!

I would mess with that reverb on the piano a bit, perhaps EQ it a bit, it seems a little bit muddy or dark, the reverb seems to cut out some clarity and brightness that could really make the track move some more.  Also the kick is quite soft which is okay but I feel like it could come out more to move the tune and get some more groove.  Nice work so far, big fan of this style and you seem to be off on the right foot, that's for sure.

Nice ideas, very much trance.
I would say try and bulk up the bass a bit, some multiband compression could work, some more EQ, maybe mixing in/layering another quieter bass with diff frequency characteristics.  Also that first drop after the buildup is a bit underwhelming.  Put a different and maybe uplifting piano lead and some changes in feeling perhaps.
The snare seems a bit too quiet as well.
Nice work so far.

Really neat style choices here.  That descending bass is sick.
I would say variate the drum beat/pattern a little more, add some FX and maybe filter it in for the intro or something!  Mess with some more syncopation changes perhaps.
How did you make that trap lead if you dont mind me asking?

Great work so far, I am excited to hear the outcome.

I just listened on my laptop speakers.

Sounds good. Very full spectrum range, mix of textures, interesting use of stereo that kept me on my toes. Not sure if I have any suggestions for the mix.

Composition-wise it felt incomplete, like it was going to go somewhere after the soft part at the end...but then it just ended. You could easily add on an even "bigger" part to give it a kind of "grand finale".

Oh for sure, it's entirely incomplete, I started this last night and I dont plan on finishing it for another week or two if that even... so I will be adding another verse and chorus and bridge or outro.  Thanks for the feedback!
