Solo each track untill you find it.... the Waves H-Delay always does it for me (If that's the case, tweak the analog button).

No I never do, but I would recommend not watching it whilst producing yourself.

I'm really interested in this. You're definitely not first one I hear it from. Do you know  where I could find some example of AB comparisons between same mixdown once with analog and once with digital summing? (Preferably not by any gear manufacturer, those can be biased.)

The first part is mastered digital and the second one with analog.

Sound Design / Stretching a vocal

When I have a vocal, the last word of the vocal is Ohhh, but that Ohh is only 3 seconds. Is there any way to stretch that to oooooooooooooooh for like 4 bars? or anything else. If I just stretch it (in FL) it won't work because it simply gets pitched down..

Inspiration/Creativity/Motivation / Re: Forcing Yourself To Produce
« on: January 28, 2016, 08:51:08 am »
Well, I was in the boat this week. 4 days in a row I forced myself to produce for about 4 hours, and I haven't achieved anything whatsoever. Then I stopped producing for about 3 days. And now today, I feel a lot better now. I have to go to school now, so I haven't produced yet. But I feel that I can be productive now a lot better. I know the thing that makes me feel a lot better now is, that I have gotten a lot more sleep now.

So I'd say, when you force yourself for multiple days and you still reach nothing, it's time to have a small break.

Yes I think you should force yourself to produce, but there is a limit. There are also times where you shouldn't make music at all. So subconsciously ideas will grow, and when you make music again after a while, you'll be a lot more productive. Also I have found out for myself, that I can't be productive with a lack of sleep at all..

By the way, when I feel like shit, I can't write any music really. And when I feel great, I write the best music I can.

13
When making music, think about what CAN be done instead of what SHOULD be done.

It happens to us all... I think the more experienced you get, the more rarely you get this. Also when you produce consistently it will happen less.

Second to that, I also think that other things that are happening to you in life are causing it as well.

Mixing/Mastering / Re: Acoustic Treatment
« on: January 19, 2016, 05:28:55 pm »
Uhh that room sucks :/ Im sorry. Like it will be really hard to put up basstraps which are the most important parts when it comes to acoustic treatment.

U could setup some normal acoustic foam plates but Im afraid it wont do you much good since your room is not so symmetrical.

I'd suggest you try the monitors out without wasting money on acoustic treatment. If you feel you need some then buy but I would recommend not buying any. You should check out some tutorials and advice on acoustic treatment. (im in a hurry and I didnt find the document I was looking for but google is ur friend here.)

To be honest im afraid acoustic treatment wont do much good in your room.

Thanks for your reply mate, I already thought so... moving to a different room is no option considering all the rooms in my house are like this.. What would you do in this situation?
