HT is my fave here.  Really really clean sounds.  I'm listening on crap headphones, but the mixdown on each could be better (as could the mixdown on all songs ever written).  But overall though, I really like your ideas.  Like, a lot.

I'm jealous of your taste in sounds, especially in percussion.

This reminds me of Trent Reznor or something.  Minimal, deep, dark, and clean.  And different.  I really like this.  Nice work.

So I left some comments on the soundcloud link.  But holy cow, dude.  It was affecting me physically.  I really liked your work on the sounds, dude.  Really crisp on the percussion.  I personally like the overdone (relatively speaking) reverb.  It makes the entire thing really atmospheric.  But that's just me.

Overall, really different.  But really good.

This is a really solid tune, dude.  Musically on point, which I am extremely jealous.  Your arps are incredible.  The mix down is really nice, actually.  I look forward to checking out your newer stuff if you think this mixing isn't up to what you are capable of...

Got a new follower, dude.

P.S. I like the percussion.  It's a bit different which is refreshing.  And usually I'm super picky about perc.
P.P.S The break groove in the middle is amazing.

This is really interesting.  It's like, juke almost.  But doesn't have that vibe exactly.  I like the space you leave in between the phrases.  And the percussion choice is good.  But I agree with KLANG that everything is panned left for some reason.  Not sure why.  But I would just check your master or something.  And again, I agree with KLANG on layering.  It would help fill the song out a bit.

Keep up the work, dude.  I think you definitely have the skill to make things way beyond this.  Your taste in sounds and groove is solid.

Really good, dude.  I like this a lot.  Mixdown, progression, mood, everything is really nice.

Dude this is really nice.  I think the mixdown is pretty good but could use a bit of work.  To be honest, I can't tell what it needs exactly.  I think if you had a harsher pluck that was less reverbed over the top, that would sit better with the grittiness of your bass.

Overall though, I really like this tune.  Good job, dude.

The mix is clean. The bass really shouldn't be in stereo to be honest. The high end is lacking a bit.

It gets a bit boring, but hey, that's progressive for yeah.

Although I want to be mad about your comment, you are 100% correct.  I think the bass just lost all of its character when I went full mono.  I know it's taboo to do, but it sounded good to me so I left it.  I don't plan on doing it in the future, but for this tune wanted a really wide bass.  (I actually had the bass split into 3 different tracks, with the highs being the most spread, the mids a little less spread, and the sub end the least spread, if that's worth anything).

And I agree about the high end and the fact that it drags on.  I always find myself making very repetitive things, focusing more on the sound design and mixdown than how interesting the actual tune is.  I could be more self critical moving forwards to ensure that my tunes are the proper length for the amount of complexity I have in them.

Thank you all for the praise/honest feedback.  I seriously appreciate every single comment.

Totally agree with everything said already.  I just wanted to say when Colonia dropped I thought "aight this guy knows what he's doing".  Mixing was super clean, and I was pumped to listen through the tune when I realized that.

I think you're off trend, like the others have said.  I don't think your music is "bad" in the slightest.  I think it's great.  Super clean.  High energy.  Great choice of sounds.

Some critique I might give though:
1) more percussion variation would be nice.  Obviously not life changing but I think it could distinguish the drops/help you build through a section/make it more interesting for the long haul (on a long song)
2) the breakdowns could be given some chord work.  I know I need to work on this more than anyone, but a good breakdown can make an entire tune for me, especially when the drop is pure energy.

Otherwise really really great tracks, dude.  You've got a new follower.

Dude.  Straight up, your bass work is amazing.  Super clean and intricate (and I love that).  I got into really mixing and producing electronic in 2009/2010 and I loved progressive and electro.  This tune brings back fond memories of scouring the internet for more electro house.

Really really great tune.  Other things I like: your bass pluck on that breakbeat part is great - super clean.  The breakbeat percussion is incredible.  I am a huge sucker for clean jungle/breaks percussion.  Don't know how you made that. (loop?  one shots? created them yourself?)

Your percussion throughout is great.  Super clean.  Ahhhh I'm listening through the end with your chord stabs, bass stutter, and the you just added the mid pluck over the top.  Really great stuff there.

Love this tune, dude.  Got a new follower.  And I'm gonna sift through the rest of your tunes to see what else you've got.  Big big big electro pls.

I agree with what Kai and Lifehouse said.  The mixing could use some work, and the sounds are super familiar, but it's really really well done.  Like, right away I was thinking "Ohhhhh Wave Racer vibe here" which is a good thing.  Wave Racer is great.  I love that sound (what's the genre called again?  future wave? idk)

Anyway, some cleaner mixing would make this tune top, dude.  You got a new follower.  I'm gonna check out your other tunes.

I agree with Saffron on this one.  I think it needs some musical work.  What type of music background do you have?  I'm just wondering to gauge where you might be with that.  Overall though, I like the vibe.  The beginning chords and bass line off beat pluck are good.  EQing that and cleaning up would be really nice.

But everything else in the rest of the tune needs some work.  Watch your keys, watch what presets (maybe?) you might be throwing in there and make sure everything works together.

I would suggest listening to different professionally produced tunes to start to train your ear on what sounds should be given emphasis at what frequency range in the mix.  Like Saffron said, the key to a good mix is letting each sound/instrument have their own space, whether its just gain, panning, EQ or otherwise.  Use all three of those and whatever else you can think of to distinguish your sounds from eachother and bring each one out to where you want it to be.

Keep working, dude.  I still think I'm awful and I've been producing for a long time now (relatively).  It will get easier, faster, and you will learn a lot.  Best of luck, man.

spent a while trying to think of something constructive to add and I got nothing...totally amazing production!

Dude thank you so much.  All you guys are too nice.  Seriously thank you.  I didn't expect this type of response.  I've really seriously enjoyed checking out all of your music too and will continue to do so.  And thank you for making this post so successful too.  Huge huge huge for me.  Thank you.

Love the track. I really like how the pad evolves and changes over time, what did you use to make the pad? Nice work!

Do you mean the lead synth?  I have a soft pad in the background but that doesn't really evolve over time.  You might be talking about the arp that is constantly rolling in the background?

For that one, I just used an Arpeggiator midi effect in ableton.  Used it to trigger a synth that had a sharper filter cutoff pluck on the front of it.  And then automated both arp time (how fast it went through the arpeggio) and the filter cutoff, for builds and breakdowns.

Hope that helps.  Thank you again for the support.  Really really thankful for all of it.
