Hey guys, just made this new piece. Hope you enjoy

Hey guys, thank you for all the comments.

As for the reverb, I wanted something absolutely massive, with the feeling that it is almost physically sticking to the track. This was to contrast some of the incredibly dry percussion sounds.

Glad you felt it physically Prodigal, I was aiming for sounds as almost tangible substances in this work.
Thanks for the experimental beats advice fxbip. For these beats I was creating tiny expanding patterns. And then when I put them together I was doing strange and cuts. One tip I have for experimental cross rhythm and poly rhythm stuff is to set scenes in ableton with different time sigs and bpms. Arm them for recording and you can edit on the fly and they will all record in the sequencer with some weird shit.

Soundness I will send you an email. Some of your stuff is nice, just wondering which way a collab would work and what you had in mind.

Thank you all

This starts incredibly strong, good interplay with all the elements in the beginning. The track feels like some dark version of a lot of 80s vibe stuff. I disagree with the above saying the bassline gets too complex at one point, I will say at the point he is referring to it does feel like it is dragging a little but that is all!

Firstly on a non music side I love that cover art!

This track is bumping honestly. That bass is really nice, the percussion has a nice field of depth for me. One thing if you wanted to extend it could be to build some atmosphere around it maybe get one of the elements to start melting into an expanding reverb.
Great track still

Hey man. good vibes to this track. Especially love some of the environmental sounds mixed in at the beginning.
Few things I noticed though, that high pitched sweep you got going is very oppressive on the ears in places. 0.32 is one place that comes to mind, although maybe that is what you are going for! Actually throughout the track, but that could just be my taste!

Very pretty track.
I will say some of the balance feels a wee bit off to me. The vocal could be the teensiest bit louder - definitely the one pitchshifted down. Also the high percussion (hat/keys/shaker?) could be louder. And the clap could do with some more reverb.

Composition is good though. And you have a nice song on your hands

Hey man beautiful piece of techno here. I think one thing you could do to add a bit of variation and dirtyness is a bit of automated distortion on the clap shuffle thing. Also like you mentioned some variation in the hats/shakers although I think that only needs be very subtle. Other than that be proud of your track. It does what it is meant to do.

Groove here is fantastic from the beginning and like Sleepy said all your transitions are really good especially with the really small details in where the percussion is. Hats could stand out a bit more though.

Your melodies are absolutely fine in this song. Really like how simple they are.

That crunch to the sounds at the beginning is really dope. I think the flute is fine at 2:37 but it there is another sound at 3:00 which is just way way too harsh.

That said and since it is your first time I gotta say this track is really really good. Keep practicing, production and piano! You seem to be drawing inspiration from good places.

Well this shit bangs hard. Love the panned 'sizzling' synths in the intro. Kick is like heavy as lead. Definitely feeling the Richie Hawtin vibes in this. Really love the imaging going on in the final third.

What could be nice in this is some distortion on the bass (a tiny amount) which is automated in. Like maybe some light bit reduction, or even a tiny amount of overdrive.
