Mainly doing this for demonstration purposes.

I've left feedback for darkanddarkmusic and pyr_ice.

Here's my track

This is the 1st out of 10 tracks I've commited to finishing before I release anything publicly. I'd like to know what you guys think of my sound design, arrangement, mixing, musicality (aka how does the song make you feel?) and anything else that stands out. Also, I know the saws sound like they're clipping, but does that mean they sound bad?

Thanks!!!

The drop leaves something to wanted. Not much mid-high ends (especially the first half of it) to really spread out the sounds. And the second drop kind of lacks organization in it's dubsteppiness. I do like the intro and you filled it out pretty well within in that, but you just gotta fill out drop that drop too. Not going say just add a bunch of reverb, but just a little something can go a long way. It's the little things with this song. :P Arrangement over all is really good, Mixing is not bad, Sound design is okay (There's only about two-three appartent sounds) Also, when rising for the dubstep drop, the kick is just kind of going wrong all over the place, which is really just a no. The song's vibe and concept gives a peace gone destroyed vibration and I like that idea. Also I don't like the way the kick sounds, but that might just be a me thing.

Hey, quality stuff dude! Some good mixing. Put some lyrics to it and I don't see why this couldn't be what's played by the mainstream artists. It has a lot of varying sounds and rhythms to it and I respect that a lot. Genuine stuff. However, it doesn't make me feel as much as I'd like to, you know? But that's just my subjective view, as I'm not entirely sure where my taste for electronic music exactly is yet. But I know that your track sounds a lot like the popular stuff I hear, so that's probably why it doesn't appeal to me much. Did it have a lot of samples from packs? Or are they your own sounds?

Over all, great production and rhythms! Quality sound.

Zero sounds from packs (except for percussion), and zero inspiration from popular stuff too so weird you'd say that I guess haha. Glad you liked the production :) Thanks for the feedback!

Appreciate the honesty! I acknowledge the 2nd half is pretty weird. There's definitely way more that 2-3 sounds though?

This is some really nice stuff man, I dig the drop, but there is a problem with the audio clipping I think ;c Even if it was on purpose that clipping needs some fixing, you should be able to hear it with your saw bases.

Keep it up!

i think it has a trance-like vibe to it. Overall the sound was good even though i was just listening through my laptop. I would maybe add a hi-hat or something towards the middle somewhere so the kick doesn't feel repetitive. maybe throw in a snare sooner in the song. that could just be my taste though. I do like the hard bass line at 1:45. Towards the end the groove is thrown off in my opinion. i'd maybe reposition the kicks a little different. cool sounds though

So I thought everything up until the drop/chorus sounded cool. The little glitch effects you did during the drop were interesting, but I feel there should be some more varied progressions in between when the bass comes back in (or out).

Also, I'm not exactly sure what was happening starting at 3:30. I was feeling some kind of groove when the snare came in, but other than that it feels a bit out of place.

I agree with the guy who mentioned the clipping. It's killing this track for me definitely. Less distortion I think would help this track a lot unless that what you were personally going for. The glitches were really interesting at 1:46.

I REALLY digged the chords progression from 1:00-1:15. Absolutely beautiful notes. Made the entire song for me. As far as the arrangement goes I have to say that the transition at 0:45 feels anticlimactic to me. Maybe try adding in some more FX elements to help with the transition? I also feel like you should incorporate that beautiful chord progression at 1:00 much more often. The majority of this track you're using just two chords. This is making it sound much to repetitive for me. If you include a chord progression that lasts 8 bars before looping then I think it would give the track more variation.

Ahhhh thank you so much I've been trying to get my chord progressions to sound better lately. The transition at 0:45 isn't supposed to be climactic, the climax is at 1:00 :P The song only had two chords initially so that's why it's that way, it was definitely a concern so I made the chord progression you hear at 1:00. I'll try to be more varied on future projects, and control my clipping more. Thanks again!
