WIPs / Re: Bass House Drop

Clap needs to be louder maybe, just a tid-bit though.

I couldn't hear any sub either haha.

Also, the sound coming in at around 0:15 is kinda weird sounding haha. I think it just needs more of a "Wub" sound to it to make it sound better (but I don't know what that would sound like exactly haha).

To be honest I think it would sound perfectly fine with just the first drop repeated haha. Maybe even add some sort of Zedd "Siren" Sound that he has during many of his second drops, like the second drop in Spectrum or his Rude Remix.

The piano seems a bit muddy, specifically underneath the vocals when Haley sings the verses.

I'd crank the sub just a bit on the drop, It needs more of that!

Solid track my man! I love what you did after the first drop with the "Who-ah-ohoh" or whatevers haha. The only thing I can suggest is make the part at 3:21 REALLY REALLY friggin' huge! Unfortunately the song ends right where another drop should be haha  ;D

Two things I would note is that, how it is now, the Hi-Hats in the beginning are kinda hard to follow only because the open Hi-Hat seems kinda random at this part. I had no idea it was a DnB track until the break drums came in haha.

Also whatever your voice sample is saying is really hard to understand, unless that is the point you were going for!

I love this track though, it is so chill and ambient. This is quality liquid! (Couldn't comment about the bass just yet because I'm not listening through monitors, sorryyy)

I absolutely adore this song! I love it when people experiment with a genre. And you sir, are doing this experiment correctly.

As for name suggestions... I would name this track "Out There", since it feels like something that would play when you'e searching for something.

Once again, you're doing an amazing job! Keep up the good work!  ;)

I really like that name title! It fits the kind of "dark, mysterious and unknown, vibe that's going on with the track!

Thank you for the compliments man!

Yayyy okay it works haha.

Okay so the drum groove at the beginning is rough, but that's okay because you did this in 5 hours and it's impressive you got all of this down that fast haha.

I seriously love this melody, honestly this rocks haha.

At around 1:00 and 2:30, those piano stabs might need some reverb. Also the drops need more reverb and space; maybe some white noise going on or just slight background noise to sort of "fill it up." I love the stutter effect going on with the supersaw, though it's great!

Things to note:

1). I actually recognize one of the hats you used (the one at the outro that plays alone with the saw) as one I have haha
2). Would you mind sharing the chords? I can't exactly nail them down and it's frustrating because they are so great haha.

Good song! It's incredible you made this so quickly!

WIPs / Re: hybrid bass tune? work in progress (feedback needed)

The Wub-Bass or whatever is way way too loud and sounds too distorted (possibly because of how loud it's getting). Even if it weren't so loud, I don't think I'd be a huge fan either :/ It's distortion sounds mostly at the high end and will probably hurt lots of ears.

Alternatively, the drums need to be louder, maybe change the snare too, not a huge fan of how much high end it takes up haha. Maybe turn the hi-hats down just a little bit.

But it has a lot of potential besides needing some better mixing / mastering. It's a WIP so of course this will need some work haha.

First off I'm usually the same way with presets and such. I only use sampled drums, maybe some voice clips but nothin' else. Everything else is "homemade."

Secondly... there's no link to the song lol.

Haha 'sall good!

I'm not listening on my monitors, so I can't exactly tell how quality the sub is, but damn that drops bass sounds fantastic. Sounds exactly like Jauz / Earlier Skrillex. Good authentic bass house right here haha I honestly have no feadback besides that this sounds really good! Only thing I can really suggest is at 0:48, maybe change the "main bass sound" that plays that bass groove to something else slightly different, like maybe a lower, more distorted bass? Maybe even not change that sound at all and just change the entire feel of that drop, go halftime with an 808 and trap sounds to spice things up a bit?

Good track though man!

This is quality, I really like the beats. I was actually a bit disappointed when they cut out at the drop at 2:33 :D

Nothing sounds really wrong with the mix to me (in headphones that is).

I always make a note when I think of good/weird/stupid titles for things, but nothing I've got fits this. Given how prominent that sample is it might be a bit odd to give the track a name that's completely unrelated.. I guess you could abbreviate it to Y2W if you like fun cryptic titles ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Mix wise I think the hats need to be more present in the drop, maybe work on the break down reverb a bit. Whenever the shaker comes in I need to make it more apparent, maybe move it to the right and then filter the other "trappy" sets of hats whenever they play simultaneously.

Name wise I almost wanna name it "relic" or "primordial" or something, just because it sounds really otherworldly vibe-wise. Originally this was going to be a song about a monster hiding in fog haha but I ditched that idea. I am really feeling the whole Y2W or other cryptic titles though.. I'll probably think on that more haha. Thanks for the comment!

i like it! it´s very different from most of the trap i´ve heard before, and that´s a good thing. i think you took the acoustic part pretty on the spot.
i think you pretty much got it summarized..
longer drop, and general mixing/mastering. and this is gold in my opinion!

I am having a bit of trouble coming up with a second half of the drop hahaha but I'll do it no doubt, thanks for the compliments man!

First off I wanna say I really like the artwork haha.

I really really like this. One thing I must say is that it is very repetitive, and that's coming form someone who loves this type of music. At some instances it's very hard to hear the music evolve or add anything over time.

I feel like what this track is missing is just some random "One-Shots" going on throughout. Maybe every now and then just throw in a really reverberated snare, maybe some clicks panned slightly to a side, maybe some crazy vibrato - reverb synth. Just most stuff to listen to occasionally then just the one continuous melody, which is still really nice I must say. Vocals would be nice like you're suggesting.

What would make this track totally do it for me is if towards the end it got REALLY really big, with like an acoustic drum groove going on with wood blocks and stuff. I really like this though and I'm interested in how you take it!

I agree with Shikimo on basically everything he said:

Snare at beginning is a little rough. Sounds very High-End heavy (same with the hi-hats I think). I like the triplets, but maybe change the synth thats playing them.

Kick doesn't stand out during the drop, and maybe there should be a kick at some point in the intro, maybe around 0:19. The first riser into the breakdown has a little bit too much High-End as well.

The Breakdown rocks. I love the atmosphere. The reverb-snare, shaker effects, it's all really really good. At around 1:09 it gets a little muddy, but that's good on some extent since it's rising. I do like the vocal sample that goes on, but for some reason it sounds awkward right at the beginning. You do get used to it though and I do enjoy it haha.

The drop needs a ton of side-chaining. All the sounds are fighting for the same space it seems, and nothing is really coming through besides whatever is loudest... which isn't necessarily good haha.

Not a bad track though I really do like it, has a ton of "Dillon Francis-esque" attributes :)

Also if that is your friend's voice recording from a phone, keep it: it's amazing haha.
