Samples/Plugins/Software/Gear / Re: Piano Plugins?

I use The Giant from NI. Mainly use one preset called Emotional, nice and soft.

Same here haha, the other presets are good but this one is excellent for certain genres imo :)

Thanks for the share Luke,
I've been following these tips every wednesday but missed a few :)

I've learned the piano/keyboard for about 7 years, now I can easily come up with melodies and improvisations, even 4 years after stopping the lessons.

I can tell you it definitely helps to come up with melodies or good sounding chords.

Freesound.org is constantly getting new user-submitted content, so it can be neat to just browse or search through it and see what comes up!

I recently used Freesound recently for a project... Some really cool sounds are hiding in there

Sound Design / Re: What's your opinion on Presets ?

They are great, most people dont have the time to handcraft their own sound library.

This.
Presets are a great way to have sounds when you don't have time to make your own. Obviously, tweaking more or less your preset is best to create the sound you want :)

Mainly Trance and it's subgenres, Progressive, Deep and Psy. However, I enjoy listening and getting inspiration from most of the genres in this list :)

I find that The M Machine stuff is usually quite outside the box thinking, like this one for example :

Having a Virus definitely isn't a 'must-have' and not all top producers have one, but if ever you can afford one, just go for it :) It does help to have one, especially for specific genres.
