Chords are too loud and I think they need harder sidechain. Try adding some vocal chops, I think they will sound cool if done properly

Like probably 100% of producers. I liked music, I wanted to try and I stick to making music since.This. I liked trance back in the days and I thought making my own songs would be nice.
I've been struggling lately with pitching vocals. I tried to do a remake of Flux Pavilion's beat the clock (http://www.factmag.com/2016/01/06/flux-pavilion-against-the-clock/) but when I record my own vocals and pitch them up they sound horrible in comparison. Perhaps it's because I'm using ableton's pitching algorithm? What are other peoples vocal pitching techniques? Usually I just pitch up and complex/pro and pray it sounds goodIt probably is because of the pitching algorythm since he talked about it on his "Emotional: Track Masterclass" Video
Now I'm all about Alicia's Keys for Kontakt.This. Truepianos is good to but not as good as Alicia's Keys imo
Sounding good man, only thing i'd say you need to fix up is the kick and clap/snare. The kick needs to come through more, maybe up the sidechain and the snare is too quiet imo
kick and clap are both extremely quiet, and you should sidechain most of your mix to the kickThe problem is that I don't wanna use sidechain. I'll mess around with levels but I don't think I'll end up sidechaining everything to the kick since that's the effect I want on my track xD Dunno why tho
your levels are a little off but the arrangement is good. the vocals need to come up a fair bit, and the piano and musicbox need to come down. strings/pads should be louder as well
at 1:43 i think you should introduce some chord plucks and a pluck playing the piano melody you had earlier and build it up to a big half-time prog-house-esque thing.Vocals still need work, I plan to use parallel compression since they have pretty distant levels. Adding some chord plucks is something I'll definitely try. Thanks a lot
sounds good budSo helpful bruh ty
