You Might Like... / Matt Fax - Going Down

I honestly can't remember when was the first time I came across Matt Fax, but I absolutely love his productions. He took a break from producing a few months back, but he's been releasing alot of deeper, progressive house this year. His track "Going Down" is probably one of my favorites. Check him out!

Would it be a bad idea to throw in a synth thats playing a sine wave in the key of my kick and process that with the kick I already have? I know searching for another kick sample would be easier to do, but I've seen another production vid where someone did that, but I'm not sure how effective that really is.

Right now, I currently own a pair of AKG k240 and a recently purchased ATM m50. I really do like producing using the m50s, but I wonder if getting a pair of monitors would be beneficial for me in the long run. I was looking at the Rokit 8s, but I hear they end to exaggerate the low end a bit too much. In addition, I heard producers like Juventa can produce using only headphones and can still achieve a really good mixdown. Any thoughts?

I love the fills you have in there in between the chords. Everything sounds clear and crisp. Maybe after 0:30 change the rhythm of the chords or maybe throw in a new chord in there to keep it more interesting!

Maybe in the break, you can have another part of the vocal sample playing, then right before you bring back the main section of the track you can play the "bring your body back" part again?
