Even though you addressed it, I'm still going to go ahead and suggest that you get the trial versions. Daws are very subjective in my opinion, meaning people like different daws and their functionalities for different reasons. Therefore, I believe it would be unwise to choose a daw based on what other people may think, as they may have different preferences than you do. I think maybe you should try the trials, and if you are having trouble choosing after that, then post here discussing what you like/dislike about whatever daw(s) you narrow it down to, to get opinions from people who use that/those daw(s) primarily. Just my opinion on the "daw wars"

I'm curious (pun intended) about how I would go about making the pluck in the intro of this song:

Thanks in advance!

A good open-back pair for a pretty decent price are AKG K240's, and for added bonus they look pretty cool. http://www.amazon.com/AKG-240-Semi-Open-Studio-Headphones/dp/B0001ARCFA

Hmm...It seems that the creator took all information about it off of the website, and I couldn't find any other people re-hosting it. Unless someone has it here, it looks like its unavailable. The only other free vocal library I could find that seems decent enough it this one: http://ivyaudio.com/Clare-Solo
