Finished Tracks / Re: ndetro - A Message For The Living [Electronic]

Thanks for the reply. I like the downtempo as it fits the mood. It is simplistic, but complex in the design and it gets the message across. I will keep your opinion in mind and try what you suggested.

Are you using serum for the bass? I like this track, but my emotions seem to cross and become confusing for me a bit. Soothing and a kickass bassline? Is like weed and crack lol.

Finished Tracks / ndetro - A Message For The Living [Electronic]
« on: February 12, 2016, 05:47:06 pm »

There is this house down the street where a goat farmer lives. It is a boarded up house with this painted on the side as a warning, "A Message for the living, beware of the red eyes, the goatman will get you." The house also has a man's face with red eyes painted on it. I felt inspired and made this track last night.

I would love to see a section dedicated to creating an image for producers and how to market music as an indie.

I like to force myself to procrastinate. I find myself producing for more than 8 hours at a time and it blinds me. I hyper-focus so YouTube videos really help break it.

Thanks everyone for your feedback and opinions. Also the follows!!!

I can still download this without a problem.

Am I allowed to re-up it on another file hoster?
Yeah! I just gave it a test download and was able to retrieve the file with no problem.

I really like it! The drop is phenomenal, just got a feeling the sub bass is little louder in some parts of the song.
Glad you like it! Which parts are too overwhelming to you?

I just said it will create a heavy load on the server. I could take an educated guess as to what they are using, but if I'm right I don't take to post it to the public.

Thanks manducator! The basspad thing is what you're talking about?

Yeah, it's the bass sound.
Alright. I'll see if I can tune it. Thanks for your time!

Most forums do not have a notification system due to the heavy CPU load. It would make more sense to have a way to view your posts that been replied to. I'm surprised SMF does not have this out-of-the-box. Or i might be overlooking it.

My question remains unanswered.
How do you know the specifics of the TPF web server(s?) necessary to make a feature vs. load assessment?
I just said it will create a heavy load on the server. I could take an educated guess as to what they are using, but if I'm right I don't take to post it to the public.

This has a nice melody! When the melody is heard in total @ 1:15, it's magic!

And the synthesis is good indeed. Keeping it simple is in most cases more effective than getting caught in modulation. Creative use of distortion.

The synth stabs on 2:45 sound a bit 'too stabby' to me, like you used a comp with a release time too long, or something like that. Because of the filtering, it's not that noticable in the first part of the song.

All in all it's a great song with a touching melody!
Thanks manducator! The basspad thing is what you're talking about?
