Never really thought about doing that but recently stumbled upon Tycho's music again. Just now I heard he adds white noise to most of his music and had no idea that was there before.

Do you guys add similar stuff? I was thinking of what an entire mix will sound like if I add a recorded room with background noise in it would sound like.

I' curious to hear what you think its off about the stereo imaging, sounds perfectly fine to me.

Also, please post your soundcloud so i can check to see if your feedback is legit, which is probs isn't.

Traveling today and will not have access to my harddrive right now. Working on some techno stuff, not sure if that is your thing.

This is super cool! Nice Job! I couldn't hear any glaring problems either, so you got that going for you, and I would agree that a vocalist / some vocals could really enhance this. Very nice job! :D

I never ever ever ever give opinionated reviews. Those comments are completely useless, its like saying "this cat is cool, but I prefer white cats".

The kick just doesn't work with the sounds you've chosen. And you shouldn't be stereo widening your sounds if you have no idea what it does.

The mix is clean. The bass really shouldn't be in stereo to be honest. The high end is lacking a bit.

It gets a bit boring, but hey, that's progressive for yeah.

There's no harm in wanting a loud track, as long as your not murdering your dynamics in the process - and he's definitely right, there's definitely a notion among listeners that "louder is better".

Might as well just slap 5 soundgoodizers on the master channel amirite?

Okay,

I am hoping to bring them closer to comparable to the loudest mixes out at the moment without losing all sense of quality and dynamics in my music

lmao good luck.

All these elitist big room mainstream EDM garbage producers just max their threshold and pump up the gain and call it mastered.

I second this idea. Currently I have no idea where or when I get replies and have to manually check them myself.

Newgrounds's BBS forum has a system where all you need to do is tag a user as "@username" and you'll get notifications for it, as well as making a topic yourself.

If you are impatient like me and work hellafast, get Fl Studio 12.

I would chose a different clap to be honest.

I understand it's a trance track, but the way its mixed just sounds too... robotic? Some of your sounds don't really blend well together.

The arrangement is a pretty on point to your average trance tune.

Is there any reason why your high end has a WAY lower volume than everything else? It's weird.

This is nice. Your mix down isn't pumping enough high end. It's all centered around mid-bass. Not sure if that was on purpose or not.

Don't be afraid to slap reverb or delay on your basses man. By the way, I wouldn't have that bass stereo like that. There is some weird phase issues.

Everything else sounds dry as well. Also, your kick isn't really standing out while the bass is playing. Watch out for those frequency levels.

This sounds really really cool. Simple waveforms are always the best!

Change your kick. It doesn't fit at all. also, Why is everything so cramped up in the centre of your mix? You need breathing room.

It sounds nice, that's all. Just work on your drum samples and stereo imagery.

Really don't like that sample. It's too harsh for this kind of track.

Your kick and snare are WAY too try for the sound you are going for.

The mix sounds really squashed, like there is no room for anything.

Lastly your climax is way too short compared to the long breakdown. Also you could've just kept it at 3 minutes because you practically duplicated everything.

Its good for a beginner track. Highly recommend getting better samples. Everything just sounds dry.

The arrangement is nice. You got the jist of it. Just practice practice practice.

Also, its always good to have a frame of reference.
