The chord pads coming in at :30 are a bit hot. Just cut the volume a dB or two. At 1:16 add some verb to the arpeggio part.

I'd actually kick off the song with the part at 2:47. That's a great hook for a song called "Meow."

Great stuff here, Arktopolis

The synth pad could use a bit more low-mid body around 800K-200K area, and the arpeggio part could use more mid-highs, like around 3K-7K. The drums are sort of harsh and hot. Back off the snare around 3K. Cool themes in this.

Cool stuff. On that second drop, I'd just take out the part from :33-:46, and have it go straight into the part that starts at :46 with the open hat beat. I dig it.

I listened to both takes. I think it you split the difference between the two on the drum EQ, especially the snare. Good suggestions from Babasmas, but I think you took the snare a little too fat. It's too hot. Tuck it in just a bit.
Good elements in the music.

I agree the drums need tweaked. They sound muffled and behind the music. Which makes the other instruments appear to jump out too forward in the mix. Try a little 1-3K boost on the drums to raise their volume and bring them a more forward in the track.

There's some cool elements in there. I think the cymbals are too harsh and stick out too much. They don't sound like they're glued in to the rest of the song.

Dig it. That hi hat is a bit hot, and a little too much sizzle. It sounds harsh and it sticking out. Tuck it back a bit in the mix.

Sounds very cool. IMO, the Rhodes keyboard sound could stand to have a more organic tone.

I like the vibe too. And agree with Shew about the drums. I'd say specifically the kick. It's missing something in the 800K-200K range that gives it some body and hits in the chest. The attack on the kick is too soft.

Keep it up.

Good stuff here. Checking some music out I haven't heard of before.

Old school:
Brian Eno - The Godfather of Ambient and modern Sound Design
Daniel Lanois - Big, huge sounds
Todd Rundgren - A wizard, a true star
Karlheinz Stockhausen - the loops begin

New school:
Jon Hopkins - What he did even at 19 with "Opalescent" is amazing
Imogen Heap - Give it up for girl power. Totally original
Khonnor - this kid made an EP when he was a teenager with I, Cactus.

R&A Graveyard / A forum for analog gear - mics, preamps, monitors, etc.

There's a forum for Samples/Plugins/Software/Gear

But it really downplays hardware "gear."

A forum for everything that's not software and computer related.

ADCs, DACs, Interfaces, Cables, Stands, Acoustic Panels and Treatment, Headphones, Mics, Mic Pres, Rack Gear, Studio Monitors, Guitars, Basses, Drums, Keyboard, Hardware Synths...

As soft as we wanna be, and a lot of us are, there's still hard that everyone needs. Software has yet to replace, at least fully,  mics, monitors, the room, etc..

Cheers...

I've really been digging this band. They really run a big range of music, from quirky ambient to 90s R&B to 80s pop.

They're dropping a new album in February, and have released a couple of tracks off it in the last few weeks.

Great to see this here. I saw Snarky Puppy last year, and it was the best concert I've been to in years.

A whole stage of serious musicians playing together and working their ass off.

Old school at its best.
