Finished Tracks / Bring the Bass Back
« on: April 11, 2016, 02:14:16 am »
After a whole year learning and trying music production, I have finally finished an entire track. I took LCA by GTA and used its arrangement almost exactly. I basically attempted to recreate it adding my own twists to the song. Please let me know what you think and any tips on the mix.

I use autochords.com sometimes when starting songs.

I saw this tutorial series in a post but I believe every beginner should watch this. Don't skip any videos and make sure you pay attention.

Worth watching the entire 120 videos, I promise.

WIPs / You-Lost Kings Remix
« on: March 08, 2016, 02:59:25 am »
I have never finished a track so I decided to take an attempt at a remix contest with a deadline. This is what I have so far, I am having trouble making the bass in the drop be audible in something other than my m50's. Thank you and let me know what you think. Keep in mind this is my first song.

You can start out using your computer keyboard with the logic interface. You can also get a midi keyboard on amazon theyre not expensive. As for learning to work on the DAW, I think the best way is to get in there and turn every knob and click every button to see what everything does. Start making music and learn by practicing. Watching tutorials right now for you, in my opinion, will not help as much as actually practicing on Logic.

Yeah I understand that, I was trying to get someone that was on the same boat as me and maybe we could bounce ideas off. If not I'll keep working until I can have some songs to show.

I have been learning how to produce music for the last 8-10 months. I've learned how to use Logic enough that I don't feel that I have to know it better to make music. Even though, I am in that point that I'll start making a song and after having half the song done I'll be disappointed with it and start a new track. I was hoping someone else in my boat or maybe someone with more experience would be willing to work on a track together and see what we could come up with. I am not centered in one specific genre so I'm open to try different things.

Thank you!
