That crunch to the sounds at the beginning is really dope. I think the flute is fine at 2:37 but it there is another sound at 3:00 which is just way way too harsh.

That said and since it is your first time I gotta say this track is really really good. Keep practicing, production and piano! You seem to be drawing inspiration from good places.

Can you identify the sound further? It's the same flute sound, but maybe it just gets too loud with all of the parts going on.

Being that this is your first track i wasn't expecting this... Kinda makes me feel like wtf have i been doing. @2:37 that flute sound is a bit high. Kinda kills that chill vibe. @3:55 its a bit too quiet. Pretty cool over all guy!

Hey thanks for your reply. I was struggling a lot with the flute sound at 2:37 because in an earlier version it was much sharper, and so I lowered down a lot to make it mix better. But there was a feeling I got with the sharp sound that I lost when I lowered it so I tried to find a middle ground - but I guess I could not.

And yeah 3:55 is definitely too quiet, I tried to make it louder and more impactful - but to be honest I just don't know how. I tried a lot of things, but in the end I told myself "my first 100 tracks won't really be good, and my first track definitely won't be perfect" so I decided to leave it how it was. Maybe I was too eager to finish, but it's never too late to go back and make changes.
