WIPs / First half of possible song
« on: March 31, 2016, 12:02:55 am »
I have the first half a this song complete for the most part but I am unsure about how it sounds and how it is arranged.
I'm looking for any feedback I can get so I have an idea of where to go with this.

Overall I like the song. I do however think its a little repetitive. The arrangement only has very subtle changes and variations through out the song. I love the idea of this track. It is mixed well and has a professional quality overall. I personally would have liked there to be a more high energy climax to the song.

I'm glad I stumbled across this track. Keep up the good work!

p.s. would you consider giving me stems for this song to make a remix?

I love the composition of this song! Only thing I would say is pay close attention to what you want to be prominent in the mix and what you wanna push back. I would say the electric guitar in the second half needs to be pushed back a bit so it doesn't drown out the rest of the instrumentation and take up too much of the mix. Maybe just take it down by a couple db and do some separation eq'ing. Overall I like this song and I would just classify this as chill.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you like it.

I made this a while back and I'm not sure what to make of it. Should I redo the mix down and release it?

Any and all feedback is welcome.

I just tweaked and finalized my latest completed song and now I'm gonna possibly send it to some promotional youtube channels and/or put it on itunes & etc.

I'm looking for some feedback and suggestions as to where I should send this. I'm really trying to get my music out there and I'm not sure where to start.
Any and all feedback/suggestions are welcome.

Its really good. I like the kinda emotional chords in the beginning. This song reminds me of Koan Sound's chill DnB stuff like "lost in thought" "Starlite" and "Sanctuary". The mix sounds nice and clean. The only thing I could think to change off the top of my head is lower the volume of the more aggressive high hats (not the ones that start from the beginning. I like those how they are) that start at 10 seconds in or try introducing them later cause for me it kinda takes away from the calm atmosphere that the chords and strings create in the beginning. Also it already sounds well mastered. Speaking of which I have to ask the dumb question of what did you use and how did you master it like that? (my mastering is sub par most times)

Started a new song and I'm not sure what to think about it. Let me know any feedback you have and tell me if I should continue working on this idea.

WIPs / Re: ditch or carry on working on it? (progressive trance)

Definitely keep on working on it. Its got a super nice feeling in the middle there. I like the euphoric sounding pads and atmosphere. The beginning seems a little out of place to me but that's just my opinion it still sounds good it just doesn't fit with the rest in my personal opinion. Either way you should definitely continue working on this song. I look forward to seeing a final product.
