this is pretty dope. you can work on the voice eq? kinda sounds like you recorded with a cheap mic. anyways, the beats dope, but the kicks can have a little bit more punch to them

Thank you for your feedback dude :). Started working on the low end and vocals yesterday. Will be posting the finished version soon.  8)

Peace

This is pretty good. The vocals need to be lowered and the drums raised a bit. I also feel you need a nice bass kick to fill up the track overall aswell as give the drums that punch I find myself desiring while listening to this track.

Thank you! Great shout on the bass kick I will definitely try that :). Vocals always seem to be something that come up for me  ::).

Thank you for the feedback!

The composition is really solid. I also feel the beat is mixed quite well.

However...

The vocals are too loud compared to the beat. It really feels like it's out of place, making the mix sound a bit weird in my opinion. Also I feel the vocals are missing some clarity.

Maybe some subtle sidechain on the vocals would do some justice to the track.

Anyway, very nice composition and a nicely mixed beat. The vocals are something that bother me.

I appreciate your honesty dude, vocals are weak point in production. This will be the year I rectify it!  ;D.

Thanks for the pointers.

Peace

hey man this is sweet!! although i would suggest making that chorus bit hit really hard with some chopped up supersaws or something to contrast the smooth and jazzy-ish vibe

good stuff :D

Cheers bro, I will layer another synth or maybe some white noise, give it that extra punch. Appreciated  8)

Hey,

I got great feedback from the last track I posted which I'm going to start implementing next week! Thought I'd post the second track I plan on releasing in Q1 of 2016. Would be great to get some constructive criticism again.

Thank you for your help :)

Listening on laptop speakers so can't give a lot of feedback on production.

However I would say add some vocals to this track, gets kinda boring even with the good structure and arrangement you have. Thats my opinion however.

Love the progression!

Bro this is cool.

Of course you could do a lot of work in the mix down blah blah blah but thats not even necessary for you imo.

My best advice for you would be not even worry about this instrumental and knock out another one this week. Right now its about being prolific, write as much as you can, there is quality in the quantity  ;).

In the words of the great Kanye West -

Y'all don't know my struggle
Y'all can't match my hustle
You can't catch my hustle
You can't fathom my love dude
Lock yourself in a room doing 5 beats a day for 3 summers
That's a Different World like Cree Summer's

Good luck!  8)

Very wave-y, I like that! More layering could benefit a lot! And you could try to ditch the last parts' vocal with some melody riff or sth, to make it more interesting to listen to, imo.

Thanks dude! I'll look in to the layering and melody aspect. Thank you!  8)

Sounds got me like DAM! This is a dope produccy, very clean mix and cool concept. I still think you need to work on that initial drop though, thats what lets it down I reckon.

Someone mentioned a vocal sample before the drop...? I think thats a cool idea tbh, you could go the obvious route and sample a Lil John "OK!" or do something less bait lol. I'll leave that with you.

Overall sounding dope bro. Look forward to hearing more.

This is cool,

A good idea would be to find a RnB vocal chop up a phrase or section you like and arrange it over the instrumental. Of course my sure you pitch vocals correctly so they suit key of track.

I hope this gives you some inspiration.

This rocks dude  :o 8)!

I love this complextro shizz unfortunately I'm not very good at producing it lol. Everything is sounding PHAT though.

I think you need vocals though, I'm thinking Deadmau5 - Raise Your Weapon (Madeon Remix) style...

Its got solid arrangement, but I feel it could get boring if theres not that vocal element to engage listeners.

You need a solid drop dude! You need a sub bass that pumps and a PHAT kick & snare and a really cool saw/triangle synth thats automated via cutoff and LFO!

These dudes may inspire you - https://soundcloud.com/louisthechild

I reckon you could do something really awesome with this track if you get the main hook arrangement correct. Nice intro dude.
