Sound Design / Making hip-hop inspired booming kicks(rustie,lux.impala.baht,daruma)

Coming from a house music background I have created a number of kicks for most subgenres. However more hip-hop/808 inspired kicks that are found in allot of hybrid genres is something I cannot get sounding right. My current mission is to be able to make the super heavy kicks you can hear in the following three tracks.
https://soundcloud.com/luckyme/advent-16 (A. G. Cook - Beautiful (Rustie Edit)
https://soundcloud.com/luximpala/frontin-1 (lux.impala Frontin')
https://soundcloud.com/bydaruma/baht-daruma-vol-002-13-greaser (baht-greaser)
It seems to me that they all have a transient kick and then the bass of the kick seperate. If anyone knows any tips to make these kicks in a softsynth or kick vst that be v helpfull. Also if anyone has any solid 808 adivce in general that would be much appreciated.
