Hi Guys!  Nice to see a new production forum out there. 

In case anybody has not seen it yet we have a free page of samples at www.blackoctopus-sound.com/free-downloads

All of these sounds are royalty free to use in your own commercial productions.

We will be adding to this page as time goes.

I really appreciate this since your sample packs seem to be very good but quite expensive and I can't afford them.

Thanks, precisely why we do the free sounds page as we know sometimes people don't have the extra budget for samples

so i download the basement freak funk legends pack and I noticed you had samples and riffs from well known players such as Miles Davis. Just wondering how are these royalty free?

Good question!  If only we could have a Miles Davis & Stevie Wonder sample pack.

Those loops are only just labelled as a similar style of those greats but are all actually recorded by Basement Freaks
