Great idea for a topic. Most of the tracks i finish are progressive. I'm a creature of habit and I grew up on the OG deadmau5 remixes (from like 2006/7) and I'm a sucker for plucks. Onward!

I usually end up making stuff along the lines of beats/ambient/IDM. flying lotus and the whole brainfeeder collective are some of my biggest inspirations so I tend to gravitate towards that style of electronic music

Id say I make a lot of indie (or at least just started making a lot) mainly in the form of plain piano melodies and such, I also make soundtracks for video games and drum and bass

Hahahaha I'm right there with you, dude.  That is exactly how I am.  The mau5 plucks were my draw to progressive house.  Still find myself reverting to them.

i don't really know. i'll make a cool sound in sylenth and build my track around it. i don't like genres because I find them really restricting. but it usually ends up being something future-ish if that's what you wanna call it.

I don't really know what I make - it usually just depends on what I'm currently inspired by - lately I've been making some house and 100BPM stuff.

Mainly Trance and it's subgenres, Progressive, Deep and Psy. However, I enjoy listening and getting inspiration from most of the genres in this list :)
