Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share some melodic dubstep tracks from my recently released album on Armada Music's Statement label.

I'm primarily a trance producer but ever since I first heard Seven Lion's music, I fell in love with the sound and it really inspired me to tinker with making dubstep.  These two tracks are the labor of the past 2 years or so of learning a new genre than from what I'm used to.  I definitely plan on making more this year and trying to get better at it.

Let me know if you like it, and if you hate it, let me know too :)

If there's any questions on how I made any of these, I'll be happy to answer as well. Oh and maybe check out my album ;) (mostly trance and these dubstep tracks)

Thanks!

Sorry but I'm not gonna be that kind xD

"Danny Chen & Leolani - All In A Day"
Drums really need work imo, specially the snare, sounds quite flat. The vocal stands out too much and imo it's not really integrated in the track.

"Danny Chen - Hope (Original Mix)"
The build-up feels weird, mostly because of the snare rythm and the growl. Drop definitely needs more impact, at both 1:36 and 3:40, it was a huge disappointment to me.

Hell yeah, I feel theres a ton of possibilities to work with in the genre, a lot of room to have fun experimenting.

It's all good man :)  I'm always looking to improve,  each track is just another opportunity to learn and grow.  By drums sounding flat, can you be more specific, is it lacking any low end for instance (not sure how much soundcloud compression affects it).  The vocal used to be quieter but in the end we decided we wanted it to be louder like this.  I plan to rework my drums for my next track.

Also for the hope "drop", what do you think is missing for more impact?  It's not really suppose to be a club banger.

Reall amazing stuff man. Definitely has a seven lions feel to it. Hope had some adventure club feels going on during the opening part. I really like the energy and space you are able to create in your mixes. If you find yourself with some free time, i'd very much appreciate any feedback you may have for me on my most recent creation "crossing over" https://soundcloud.com/venik-1/crossing-over

Probably needs a punchier snare and a kick with more low end. About the drop in the 2nd track, it probably needs some FX (white noise or something) and a shorter sidechain
