Is anybody having troubles with FilterCrusher?
« on: January 08, 2016, 12:16:15 am »
FL Studio keeps crashing whenever I open up the FilterCrusher window. I think it started crashing FL when I linked the low pass to an automation. So basically now it just sits there and crashes the project as soon as I click on it, pretty annoying!. Anybody else having any issues with FilterCrusher? Or is this maybe some rare bug that I have stumbled into?

I'm using the 64 bit version of FL and FilterCrusher btw.

Try opening the project in the 32bit version of FL, and see if it crashes there. If it doesn't crash, try enabling bridged mode in the plugins advanced options to see if it forces FL64 to bridge it. This is assuming that the native loader is crashing. Otherwise, remove it from the project in FL32, save, then in FL64 load the 32bit version if it exists. Hopefully one of those will work.

I've tried all those things. I didn't even have to click the plugin to make it crash when loading 32 bit FL Studio.

I mean the crashing itself isn't the end of the world, that project is done anyway. I just don't want to continue using FilterCrusher if it will just crash my future projects.

Aww man, that sucks. Have you reinstalled the plugin? I had Fabfilter Saturn start crashing on load one day, and after trying several things, reinstalling the plugin fixed it. The DLL must have become corrupted or something... But if you've already tried that, definitely report it to Image Line so they can look into fixing it.
