Videogame-ish tune
« on: January 07, 2016, 08:22:10 pm »
I started this track yesterday, and I've gotten completely stumped when it comes to elaborating on it. If anyone has any ideas on where I could go from here, that'd be awesome! Any feedback regarding production quality would be greatly appreciated as well, because heaven knows I could use it.

When the high hats and other percussion come in around around 0:46, try adding some pad affect or more atmosphere, using the same chords that are already being played. Then, right when the song ends add some sort of 8-bit / 16-bit / Videogame sounding synth with a new melody, AND if you're feeling cheeky, at this point change the chords slightly to give it variation with the new melody, but keep the same instrumentation.

I really like this though and I really wanna see where this leads as well  ;D

I rearranged the song a bit, and added a little warm pad, and I really liked the way it turned out, so thank you for the suggestion! I don't want to flood this thread with updates of the track, but if you really are interested in seeing how it turns out, feel free to message me, mane.

Hey Nathan!

this song remenber a lot of a rpg and this song play when you try to sleep a bit hahahaha "Chrono Trigger things" hahaha

The sound is cool, if you make for a game logic, theory its good, but if you work for a song, you have to try to acc some things like PAD, choirs, etc...

the deleyed piano is really cool man, love it ^^
