Would like to get some feedback on a Uplifting Trance track.
« on: January 07, 2016, 07:29:16 pm »
Been working on it for the last month on and off. would like to share to get some feedback or ideas. I did add a limiter and some saturation on the master just for listening purposes. Thanks!

Very nice.
I have some input. It feels like you're inserting a second break into the first at 1:40, maybe save this to use later in the track ( suggest around 3:37)?  The way out of the break first needs some more ooomf. Snareroll(cliché) maybe. Otherwise I think it´s really good. Good luck with it. :)

I really like the 303 right off the bat. I also love the breakdown melody that follows into the next part. Maybe lengthen the breakdown though? It feels slightly too short, maybe just 8 or 16 bars more? I'm not entirely sure how it would sound. Otherwise fantastic song really enjoyed it.

Thanks guys! I thought about extending the breakdown. How is the mix sounding so far?

Bass has too short decay I think, sounds too plucky. Chords are too simple and I think just 2 chords get boring, try to add some variation.

I love the intro, the acid sound is awesome I'd just cut down on the panning a bit, just make it less pronounced. That much movement causes too much focus on that sound. When you take the lead out at around the 4 minute mark I'd bring some highs in for the bass, I feel like everything is a little too lowpassed at that point. I like your idea overall though, reminds me of some of the older progressive/uplifting stuff that was coming out like 10 years ago.
