More Trap :D

That's my newest thing I'd love some feedback on it (cause I didn't get any last time -_- but that's okay). I've been trying to work on 'fullness' but I don't know if I went overboard in the high end and I'd also like to get some feedback on the energy and vibe you get from it (as well as mixing and all that fun stuff :P) Thanks

Hey Zali,

Good job on filling out the track, it's starting to sound pretty big. Here's what my thoughts on it are:

1. That crowd noise in the beginning is kinda whack. That's just a personal preference but I like to add processed noise and space effects instead of crowd noise. If you do wanna add crowd noise, don't make it so obvious as it can sound pretty cheesy to some people (like me :P).

2. Switch up your sounds! You have the same sound playing pretty much the same thing throughout the intro and the build. And then when it drops you use another sound for the whole drop, only transposing down an octave halfway through. That's kinda boring imo. Especially since you're going for a dubsteppy type of track, you can use lots of different sounds. For the drop maybe do 4 bars of what you have already, then the next 4 bars could be something completely different. I'll leave a link to a mashup I did so you have an example of this.

3. Last but not least, your build has to catch people's attention. Change the sound or what it was playing from the intro, and definitely don't do a pitch rise with that melody, it sounds super out of tune in a bad way.

Other than that I think you did a great job at laying down the foundations for what can be a dope track. Now you just have to take it to the next level ;) Keep up the good work, and remember; practice, practice, practice.

I really appreciate the feedback I've made a lot of changes and should be updating it a little later today but I also wanted to comment on something I found pretty funny about your mashup. You said that using only one sound for the drop and changing the octave midway was boring, but you sent a mashup of three songs that use the same sound for the whole drop and only one of them actually changes octave (the RL Grime song) while the other 2 (The SAYMYNAME thing and the Carnage remix) don't even do that lmao

Cool, looking forward to hearing it. Not sure if you're talking about the original songs but in the case of this mashup, it's going back and forth between 2 drastically different tracks laid on top of the RL Grime track. If you listen to the original songs though, you'll notice that in the SAYMYNAME track, there's a fuckton going on automation-wise with the sound and that in the Carnage remix halfway through it goes halftime and the beat changes completely. I was simply suggesting that you use different sounds as a way to keep the listener interested. That being said there are literally millions of ways to do that, so feel free to get creative here.
