Reminds me of some old Andy Moor tbh. Has a lot of potential for BlackHole as well

Overall, it's sounding good :)

Very nice work man, the buildup needs some work also the bassline is a lil bit over distorted maybe some equing and some reverb on it would be good!

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I got the idea for the piano chords from Johan Vilborg, he actually helped me out after asking him. (cool guy)

As for the bassline, I am trying to find the right balance in the mix. There is a white noise sample playing the same pattern as the bassline which gives it that distortion, another idea from him. referencing this track

I am still trying to find that sweet spot in mixing the bass with this white noise layer.. I have it going with the Saw Lead as well.

All of that is coming from a white noise layer? That's crazy. Also that's super cool of Johan.

Cool track.

This is good :) Sounds kind of like some Murtagh tracks(beginning). I can't really comment on mix down since i'm a beginner but overall the sound is good!

Cool track.
Not all of it, I would say about 60%. Will upload a clip with and without the white noise later.

Glad you guys like it. I am just working on transitions now.

Please let me know if you would like to know how I made a specific sound, will be happy to help.

Cheers

I think you have a good song idea here.  I listened to it a couple of times.  The mix is good. The one think that I would like to hear in this track (or feel) is a little more groove. When I listened to this track it reminded me a little of the track "Hello" by Above & Beyond. I would like to see you play around with the timing of the notes in the baseline. Right now the track seems to be choppy and a little lacking in flow and groove.  It's hard to explain, but to me, it needs something to pull the listener forward. Maybe try and shift some of the bass notes forward in time by a 16th or so note to create more flow. You can hear that in "Hello". Some of the baseline notes kind of "lead into" others by playing slightly early.  That track has great groove and flow.  Also, in Hello, at 1:30, more rhythmical elements are added to pick up the pace and build excitement and impact.  Dance music is about building up emotional ebb and flow.  I would also like to hear the vocal chops get a little more busy . Again, to create more excitement and anticipation. (I like to imagine people in a club dancing when I produce a track). But over-all, you have a solid idea and "work in progress" here.

Hope this helps a little,
Cheers,
Rob

Thanks for the great feedback Rob. I couldn't agree more about the groove, just trying to get it right. will take lots of experimenting. Will give it another go over the weekend

;D ;D cool track loved it. But you could work on the buildup abit. Its a bit weak. but otherwise i love what youve done with the vocals and the generall song progression. Would love to hear the final version of this
Imagine my surprise when I found out "restraining order" did not mean she wanted me to tie her up.

Exactly, Just play around with it, and you'll find a cool groove. That's the hardest part sometimes, but it's definitely worth it in the end.

There's definitely something wrong with the kick, you really have to fix that Check your EQ so youre not boosting any weird frequencies and if thats not the case, just get another sample. Not sure about the build-up at 3:15, I think the kick is too lowpassed and it needs some kind of snare roll before the drop, which feels a bit empty imo, try to add some pads and stuff to make it shine

Yeah i fixed the kick, there was no processing done. I just eq'd that click out. Will take a look at what you said about the build. Thanks for the feedback :)

Hey guys,

here is a little update..

https://soundcloud.com/areszofficial/dec-28/s-nTTeL

Things fixed:

1. Kick
2. Vocal - added lil compression
3. Break - added pads
4. Build to main drop - snare roll, fixed lowpass kick
5. Minor transition stuff - still need to work on it some more

I also played around with the groove of the bassline, need to spend more time with it. Hope it is an improvement from the first link!

Thanks for the help :)
