Honestly if this is your first track you're doing a lot better than most. Most people wouldn't have bothered to look for different samples than the default ones included with whatever DAW you're using (usually FL Sudio's samples that load up by default).

If you have a specific sound in mind for what you're going for, keep listening to music similar to that and try and replicate it. As of right now the drums and the synths aren't really working too well together, mostly because you've chosen an odd drum pattern. I think it would work if you simplified the drums a bit.

Again good work, awesome start to producing.

welcome to the forum!!

i second NM64 - if this is your starting point, good job! tbh its probably better than the first song i made haha. there are some odd rhythmic choices, but they arent always bad - it shows you weren't content to just slap a 4 on the floor pattern down and call it a day, which is awesome! that switch up at 1:00 was also good, for a short song it has a good sense of tension and release.

recreating songs, and just generally getting inspired by what your favorite music is like, a SUPER important way to grow when you're just starting out, i highly recommend it. i hope you continue making music, and if you ever have questions feel free to ask them here. you're also very welcome to join the Slack chat, some of the ppl on here talk about music there too. keep at it friend!!
