New trap/electronic thing. I think I've finally found a "sound" for myself.

Something I came up with a couple of days ago. Still some work to do with smoothing out the distortion on the stabs, and overall mixing....but I'm pretty happy with the overall sound of the piece.

Im digging it! great choice of sounds (so important) and this beat definitely is a hot one! There isnt anything that stands out to me that bothers me.  The only thing I could say is to finish it completely and maybe add a little counter melody filler here and there.  I love it though, Im free styling on it right now..its tight  8)

Thanks for the feedback on my track! you were spot on about the clap, it was slightly bothering me too but couldnt understand why

Thanks dude! I'm probably going to add some guitar over top of it to add something more natural, as well as tackle the melody issue. Considering adding some vocals too, though unsure about that.

i really really love the synths you used in this. that reverby distorty thing works really well. how did you process them?

the main area that could use improvement is the drums imo. i like the rhythms themselves, but the snare feels like it's lower quality/ is missing some high-end info. also, there are a few parts when the bass jumps up to the higher octaves that it gets way louder, you might want to fix that a little bit. this has a tonnnn of potential, its a step or two away still but i think it will be really great. you can do it!

Thanks man! The reverby distorty thing started in Harmor with a simple saw based pad and a chorus effect. Then I added about 10 different layers of distortion, and recorded out a sample of c5 by itself...took that sample and brought it into kontakt, added more distortion and chorus, and shaped the envelope into a stab of sorts, and then added reverb. Way too complicated to get the final effect imo, but it worked xD.

Apart from that I totally agree, the drums need some love. I had originally pitched the snare down a bit to give it a bit more beef, but yea it took too much out of the high end. Thanks for the feedback, thinking about releasing an EP  later this year with this as a single on it...so it will definitely be completed. :)

This sounds like a professional piece of work, great sense of rhythm and I felt compelled to keep listening throughout. Only thing is I hear a vocal

Pretty damn rare that a track will give me chills. This is sick AND original dude. Keep at it. Could be a foot in the door.

No critiques. Track has hella dynamics and uses the space well.
