Are the drums in packs mostly synthesized or are they sampled from tracks or layers with organic drums pretty sure its synthesized but im asking to make sure?

It's a combination of things, different for each sample pack designer.

sometimes they're made with synthesizers, sometimes they're sampled from other songs or old vinyl records then processed and changed so much that they're unrecognizable, sometimes they record things live and then process them, and sometimes they take samples from other sample packs then layer and process them together to become a new, whole sound!

Sometimes they are sounds that make no sense, but have characteristics of a particular drum.


I think an old drum and bass tune made a snare while snapping a denomination of paper currency. snapping such as, pulling on either side....
