I'm going to try out some of these suggestions, but I currently use (and love) The Gentlemen from NI.

If you are an Ableton user, there is a free downloadable Piano in your profile on ableton.com
Thats the one that works great for me!

Plugin wise, really love the pianos in Omnisphere and YES the Alicia Keys is great too! :)

I use The Giant from NI. Mainly use one preset called Emotional, nice and soft.

If you can tame it, The Giant can sound really cool with the "Giant Resonance" convolutions.

A good example at the end here:

90% sure this is the giant being used here with the giant Reso presets.

Been using alicia keys for a long time now, was recommended to me by Direct (monstercat artist).

Does anyone have any good Rhodes vst suggestions?  Been really vibing that sound as of late but the only one I have is the stock ableton sampler version

I use The Giant for Kontakt for most of my in-DAW pianos.

TruePianos is my go to when it comes to finding a "real" sounding piano. It really has a nice reverb to it and makes me feel like im playing a classic piano. When im looking for something atmospheric or unique, check out Nexus and Omnisphere. However, Id like to point out that many people have already overused Nexus pianos. To get around this I suggest downloading extra preset packs or ensuring you layer your nexus pianos with other sources. Many people will instantly hear the overused Nexus presets and you wont sound original. Nailing pianos is a difficult task, good luck!

I use "the gentleman" from NI, but I´m not sure if it´s available still.  Couldn´t find it when browsing on their site. Maybe I missed it.

I tend to use Piano One for a lot of my piano sections in songs. It's free and it has a great realistic sound. However it is sort of buggy at times, but I manage. I still highly reccomend it though! Also Kontakt has some great piano libraries as well.
