I'm going to see Shelter in November, crazy hyped!

I first saw Worlds at Bestival a few months ago and that's gotta be the #1 spot for me. I met up with a bunch of people from /r/porterrobinson and we hung out at the front right at the rail all day from noon til Porter closed. Madeon went on right before Porter and did a great show there too. Back to back they were amazing, I can't wait to see them play together.

Normally I stick with whoever I go to a show with, but at Bestival I met so many new people and we all became best friends by the time Porter came on, I still have some of them on Facebook and plan to meet some at whatever Shelter shows we can manage to all make it to.

Obviously Porter's show is renowned for being "life changing" and I know the term seems crazy and maybe overused but that's exactly what it was. It was on a whole other level compared to any other live show I've ever experienced for sure.

DJ performance: Crizzly

My boy always does his best to throw a good party and keep it real.

Skream, Caspa, and Rusko are all great acts to see and provide a different flavor of DJing than americans.

RX Bandits and Streetlight Manifesto also put on really good shows, for non electronic oriented music.

Coachella was really awesome and my first EDC (2014) was revolutionary in terms of how I experienced music festivals. Seeing Tyler the Creator live was absolutely insane, seeing The Bloody Beetroots live was incredible, getting to see Worlds when Porter came to SF with it was also a huge highlight.

There's tons of others, but those three have always stuck out in my mind.

I think the craziest time I had was seeing Mikkas at Tomorrowland 2013. It was on a tiny stage on some water & was like a greenhouse. But the atmosphere was crazy.

best performance was either zedd at edc, or armin van buuren at edc or above & beyond acoustic.

Armin has amazing control of the dance floor while zedd just had the best crowd engagement and energy. Above & beyond was amazing in a different way. The type of makes you wanna cry instead of jump up and party.

GWAR during the 2008 election was amazing

Russian Circles and Cynic aside from that. Crazy musicianship.

I find electronic music boring live. Basically just listening to music I like on a shittier system. When I go to edm shows now I really just sit back and take notes on how everything is put together.

The only producers I've seen live that really held my attention were Skrillex during the mothership tour in 2011 (right when he was breaking so the energy was crazy) and Porter/Zedd on the Poseidon tour (when Porter was like twice as big as Zedd haha...those days). Every other edm show I've been to since those I've kinda gotten bored and left about a half hour in. I've seen Zedd and Skrillex since then a few times, but it just kinda sucks standing in a crowd of 30,000 instead of being pushed against the front stage of a club that holds 500 people. Live electronic music has become a very impersonal, meh experience overall.

Haha us music nerds have to stick together.

I'm mildly shocked; after spending most of my childhood on the Gulf Coast I can't believe someone in Lafayette is aware of any of those bands haha. I always felt like I was on an island musically down there until I moved to DC.

i've lived in several states and have experience quite a vast sense of musicianship and music.

But you're generally right, not every one is that adventuresome.
