Robert Miles - Children [andm remix]
« on: January 07, 2016, 12:27:13 am »
I know this is probably one of the most remixed tracks of all time but I took a shot at it anyway. I started it 3 years ago and "finished" it last night. Mixed on Sen HD 25ii's headphones. I didn't use any noise or fx other than the first bar because I couldn't seem to make any that fit well w/ the track. I've been learning production off and on by trial and error for 3 years. I am open to constructive criticism. Thanks.

I like it! Very chill Piano House-esque Remix! I did feel like your lead could have been high passed a bit more and maybe the piano chords should have been low passed a bit more. They sound great together but I think they overlapped in the frequency spectrum a bit much. Other than that, it sounds like a masterpiece.

Thanks! I'll make adjustments as my skill level progresses. I think you are correct about the filtering, they definitely overlap.

Be careful with the white noise fx's volume at the beginning ! (i had to turn down the volume haha).

I like the ''minimalistic'' idea behind the remix,i feel the tambourine need quite more reeverb.

Tumps up for that piano !!

I'll look at the noise for that intro fx. I've only heard this on my headphones. Haven't had the opportunity of referencing it on other things yet, so chances are its probably too loud. Thanks for the input, much appreciated.
