I honestly put my promo email on my twitter AND soundcloud and rarely ever get spam..
I put my email in my SoundCloud bio and never get spam, and I have a decent number of followers, so honestly I don't think it's much of an issue

There's a system called "private messages" on soundcloud, I think it serves a purpose, not sure.

That's where a lot of artists get spammed all the times. Also, not every artist checks their soundcloud messages (which is probably because of spams)

Definitely a good idea! Also the fact that many people might not know how to present themselves and their music online might call for the creation of another subforum - I'll talk to Mat and see what he thinks.

Please do! This would be really helpful

Yeeah, out of all the mistakes I make, I'm not very good at networking is the worst. Harsh business man, bad salesman. I would love to see that Networking Advice Subforum!
