First real music attempt, please tell me what you think
« on: September 03, 2016, 11:07:25 pm »
I am for sure re-recording my vocals, I just recorded them to help me know what everything would sound like at the end. The track isn't completely mixed and mastered yet but since this is my first attempt but I really want feedback to know what I could change or improve on. Anything would be appreciated!

Link appears broken at the moment; did you use the link with the private key on the end?

EDIT: I went to your Soundcloud to check if it was public, I'll assume you want feedback on https://soundcloud.com/a-history-of-bad-decisons/famed-fiends

Background audio is rather impressive for your first track; I really have no clue what to say about the vocals, especially since you intend to re-record them.

Some issues I did notice:
1. the sound near the end, ~2:14, is cut off abruptly; make it extend longer and fade out in a smoother way.
2. The last phrase of vocals sounds like it was too loud and the microphone encountered distortion.

In addition, the dynamic range is too big, imo. The difference in audio levels from the vocal-less areas and the loudest portion of the vocals makes it hard to listen to, imo.
