So basically the second track is the reference track loop (originally from EXO-Heaven) and the first crappy one is the one that i am working on. I just cut some parts from the verse and the chorus of those trakcs.
I am trying to take the general drum and piano tone from the reference track, but it seems like my drum and piano doesn't perfectly fit. So i am wondering if any appendix on my source, any EQ-ing, compression or reverb could bring me more vibe from the reference.

Tbf, your version isn't that far off. Theres obviously a few layers missing, and a small, wet open cymbal that could gel it together well. The only difference I can hear with the piano is that yours is a little dryer, but I'm talking irrelevant levels.

What exactly about the second version are you trying to replicate?
