Im feeling sad and unmotivated
« on: June 21, 2016, 02:00:02 am »
Well, I´ve been going throught things of the heart, not a heartbroken, just clarify a few things and, now I don´t have energy and head for music, only listen to it. I don´t want to feel like this, I know that those kinds are normal at my age (15)

And the question is, How I can feel better again and come back to my music stuffs? What kind of things you do when you feel like this?

You'll go through plenty of this every time you step out into the world.

and being a teenager is a difficult time, because you're brain is developing into what an adult brain.

take it in strides man, maybe lay off the music for a while and then come back to it.

breaks are important in the creative process, try not to run yourself to empty.

This is also advice for your life outside of music.

I'd say don't get too attached to music. Get also some kind of another life. Cool one. Music is something you communicate your feelings out by. ...but you need to have stuff to actually put out. Whenever you feel like that, something is broken outside of music that stops you from wanting to tell your feelings to the world.

Go fix that. Make the rest of your life cool and music will get berter out of the sudden.

I'm currently also in kinda blind spot too, not actually feeling to make something new. ...and one of the reasons is exactly that. I've ignored life outside of music and work for really long and trust me, few years down the road, world can show you how wrong that descision is.

It's hard to give any real advice without knowing the real situation in depth.

All I can say is that this has happened to me plenty of times and that it's normal. ESPECIALLY when I was in post adolescence (God what a terrible stage of life)

If you feel burned out then honestly sometimes a long break is necessary. If music is making you feel miserable then maybe it's time to reevaluate what it is that you're doing and whether or not it's what you want to be spending most of your time on. There are so many other things you can do aside from just music. Maybe right now it would be best to spend time on those other things just for the moment. You're very young and have a long road ahead of you.

It's all about perspective, mate.

Ryan Dungey, one of the world's best motocross riders, talks specifically about that in this video: https://youtu.be/pqF5nYqHzas?t=19m24s  (Part of a great series, btw)

He talks about having a life and a purpose outside of your passion.

Although it's uncomfortable for most of us to admit, most of our lives' meaning comes from relationships with other people. Be it family or friends, we find community and satisfaction via interrelational means...sometimes us as "computer musicians" can lose sight of this, but it's important to keep your priorities straight.

You'll be alright bud.  Lots of us have gone through and are going through what you're going through. Part of the human condition. Stick with it!

I believe you are sincere with your question, so i am giving you the main answer to this question.

In order to feel good about life and full of life every day, you will need to stop eating meat.

You need to stop doing drugs....

I wonder if you could have evaded the topic ( that meat causes depression and sickness in most humans ) any more by saying something else.

You can try with a response to this post if you like.

The topic isn´t meat!  The OP asked for some guidance and encouragement, he/she didn´t ask for any food advice from someone who thinks they´ve found the cure for all the world´s problems.  This is a forum mainly about music, you have made 2 posts.  None of them about music...

OP: A lot of things are changing in the way your brain is perceiving things right now.  Don´t force yourself, and you will find your passion again.

although, we can't over look diet and nutrition as a how we feeling in the long run.

but, given circumstances and information given by OP, i think this is just a natural part of life.

Just make sure you're being healthy and doing healthy things!!

life is a wave.

Everything is always alright in the end.

Time is a healer!

Why don't you compose to how you feel? I'm sure that will be happening naturally anyway  ;)

I "had" this problem a year ago. I conquered it by changing my "production mantra":

Make music for myself, not for others.

When I realized that, everything changed. I didn't need to compare my music to top notch productions.
This changed my attitude on my goals of production. Now, I'm learning to better myself for myself.

Hope it goes well dude! Just remember this: if you continue, you WILL get better. You're in a slump, and it will only last for a little bit. Just keep pushing through!
