What is a good synth for deep/dark dance music?
« on: June 17, 2016, 05:07:37 pm »
Hi,

This last year I've been creating a lot of dance music stuff around 125 BPM. Massive has been my go to synth as it is the synth I understand the most. However, I am starting to get tired of it and all of its Wavetables and I also don't think it is the right synth for my music as it is a bit too dubsteppy and gritty.

I'm looking to move on and start grinding my time into a new synthesizer. Can anyone recommend a good one? I like being able to modulate parameters a lot and really love the options you get on Massive so would like something similar.

I'm into Tech House/Techno/Deep House etc...

FM - something like Operator, FM8, Sytrus, etc. Deep House, Future House, and Tech House have FM as a large part of their sound design.

Currently downloading FM8 now as I have been recommended it by everyone on other forums also. Cheers :)
