Production buddies?

Do any of you guys have friends who produce music, online or in real life? How did you meet them? I'm at a loss because I don't know anybody irl who make music.

I have a few friends who produce music.

out of my texas friends, i was one of the first to actually start producing music consistently.

But yea, it's good to have people offline (especially) and/or online that are willing to help you out with things and give you good feedback.

I will say, not every one of my friends gives good feedback based on creativity, judgement, taste, and technical understanding.

I have to feel out all of my friends to get a consensus of what the track may or may not need.
Josh Huval: Honestly, the guys who are making good art are spending their time making it.

I got my cousin into it. Other than that I'm still looking to meet new people.
Some emo kid couldn't start a band, so he picked up a computer instead. That's going pretty well.

My cousin started producing before me before I even realized making music on a computer was possible. My buddy Josue introduced me to the idea of producing music on the computer 2 years ago.
I also have two buddies who I've gotten into production and have met one more person who knows a decent amount about rock production.

Main production buddies on this forum are Arktopolis, Marrow, and Mussar. The slack channel is great. You should join it so we can talk about music.

Don't underestimate this, man. It's big.

I've been in this completely alone for several years, which ended up by doubting eeeverythiiiing I did. So one day, while having a deep depression about not seeing any progress, I thought: Ok, I'll find someone (relatively) local who I believe has better chance of succeeding. May be I can help a bit or something...

So I found a guy like that. On Facebook. Still remember that first stupidly awkward conversation. "Hi man. I suck. You don't. Let's be friends!" ...lol. We've found out we have quite similar tastes and when it's possible, we comment each others tracks, WIPs and so on. Night and day difference. If you're making a piece of shit and don't know it, friend like this will tell you. If you're making something good while doubting it, he'd tell you again. ...and vice versa. You can help back if he needs fresh ears too.

So yeah. Find friends like this. As much as you can. It helps a ton.

...also if you live in bigger city, there's a chance there is a community of producers somewhere. Find it. Asap. I've found one and it's so awesome when we meet.
