Anything you cannot genre define?
« on: January 06, 2016, 06:14:08 pm »
Has anyone got any tunes they know of that are completely unique to them? As in, you cannot think of a genre it would fit into and it's style is completely different to everything you've ever heard?

I'm a sucker for awesome originality yo

This is one of the songs I just can't really define. I love it and maybe Mat will see this and tell us how we can get a copy of it because this is such a crazy song.

With that Mat Zo track, it feels to me like a variation of a dubstep song. Beat is slightly more complex, but the synths are similar. When I say different, I mean REALLY different. Discovering a new colour different.

well it literally is a remix of a dubstep song so you're pretty much right. I just hear that and I can't put it into a genre but I also kind of gave up on strict genre definition myself so there is that too haha.

You could go with Shadient stuff which is in its own realm.

I find that The M Machine stuff is usually quite outside the box thinking, like this one for example :

It is hard to define the genre of "Ghastly x Mija - Crank It (feat. Lil Jon)".
