« on: May 03, 2016, 03:48:40 am »
So I entered into this remix contest. If I win, I'll get to perform at a huge festival called Mysteryland! Give it a listen, if you like, you can vote for me here: https://wavo.me/mysteryland/remix-illenium-and-spin-at-mysteryland/without_you_feat_skylr_klang_remix__16840610644910000?u=55c8364e7e6f06aa68000718&s=Km9i6Uv1xTuBUIG-T5M47WC0jtk&v=1

Excellent synth work right off the bat. The vocals are mixed really well as well, and sit perfectly in the mix with a good amount of reverb. I think the snare's a bit too heavy and long for my taste, but I just prefer short attacking snares with a lot of 'pop'.

Everything up to the drop is super solid and sounds extremely professional. When the drop comes in however, I'd love there to be some more high hat work, and the main melody is a little...boring to be honest. I think it could be turned down a bit as well. The snare I still don't love either. Like I said earlier though, mixing and mastering still super solid.

Really nice remix man. I'm currently setting up an account through Wavo cuz this looks like a really awesome site, and I'll vote for yours when I get the chance! Good luck! :)

Hey man! Love the song, just voted for you! Hope you win. I'll be honest, I like these vocals so I think I'll try my hand at remixing this as well. Probably won't submit it into the competition but will do it nonetheless.

One thing I was hoping to hear in your song was the upward chord progression pluck that you can hear around 2:43. I think if you made that your lead and transformed that into a smooth gritty saw chord it would build more fluidity and excitement in your chorus. But just my preference! Still, amazingly chill song, love it!

Keep it up, love hearing your music and watching you grow bro.
I'm just that guy that loves sound. Message me if you also love sound.

Me like dis a very much, Yes!  I have a wavo account and I'll vote for you as well as snag these wonderful vocals! Good job and keep up the good work! One critique I could provide is that I feel that the vocal and the lead are conflicting with each other a little bit, which makes it sound like the vocal is being slightly drowned out.

Take care!
