128 trance housey

Hello!  I'm new here, but been producing on my own for a few years now.  I've heard (and feel) that my composition is ahead of my sound design.  So I guess, if you have thoughts on sound design (or sound selection in the case of samples) - please share them.  I'd be open to any feedback for sure, just saying where I feel the most weakness.

Hope you enjoy it.  I was inspired by modern Anjuna, but also the Interstellar theme (stay).

edit: i did a lot of tweaking!  pretty much every section has changed slightly

edit 2: fixed link, did more to first build up

Hey man! Another trance producer here. Love this work! Very creative and I love the style. It'd be nice to have the bass line at 2:55 by more dynamic. Maybe switch between different bass synths and beat repeats to get more energy, it feels a bit repetitive. Also, maybe tweak the levels to get the mix a bit more balanced. The bass seems to stick out a little more than necessary and the synths have a bit more on the lower end than the higher. That's just my preference though. Love it though!
I'm just that guy that loves sound. Message me if you also love sound.

Glad you liked it :D I worked on the bass to give it a little bit more movement.  I used to have 3 synths all doing the same thing... now I've split it up, so they play with out 1 or 2 of the synths a lot of the time.  To me, it feels like it moves more.  Also did a bunch of other stuff so check it out :3

Hmmm.... its cool man, the drop section its good some variations, good melody, good intro, maybe you need to improve more the structure of all entire song, just details, but i see somthing like "soundprank" here, just work dude, just do it, its a big song here ^^

Thanks for the thoughts Artic.  I do definitely enjoy Soundprank's work.  I've started (but not finished) his recent mixing tutorial on sonic academy.

I spent all morning working on the first build up.  I feel I could still improve (or rather, create) drum rolls to link sections together.  My attempts thus far have not been pleasing to listen to.

Too much?
