Joan - Got A Feelin' (feat. Na T)
« on: April 17, 2016, 02:15:50 pm »
Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum, so first of all I want to say "Hello" to everybody!  :)  8)

I'd like to introduce my new song "Got A Feelin'" to you, which is my first "vocal house" project with the very talented singer Na T. It was a very spontaneous project that started with a simple idea and ended up in this "summer-party-song". We had a lot of fun working together and hope that we can convey a little bit the good vibes to you . :)

Especially, we would appreciate some feedback from you about the track. What do you think? Feel free to comment on the track!

Kind regards,

Joan

Well, hi. Doesn't look like you've been very active since you posted this, so I'll just drop this here in case you come back.

Cons:

- There were different sections, but little contrast between them. So a listener may end up confusing the song as one long part if he wasn't paying attention.
- The kick gets a little bit buried under everything that plays during the drop.
- I don't think you had priorities while mixing. During the drop, everything is playing at once with no sense of direction. The piano, the lead, the vocals, the drums, and the bass are all playing at generally the same volume, and sometimes overlapping. They're all fighting for the spotlight, but nothing is accomplished.

Pros:

- I am definitely getting summer party vibes from this...
